re: Bazelak Taking Snaps

Agreed the best man starts, competition breeds success. Complacency like just being given the starting job leads to no drive. I do feel like he will be the starter if healthy, but its got to go through competition. He looked very poised and precise when inserted last year even with sub par receivers. I would like Robinson to prove me wrong but he was a 9 td 8 int guy when he was at TCU, not exactly setting the world on fire but he was young. it would be great if they both look good come summer camp! We can only hope!
No accountability at all these days, a mistake is speeding or shoplifting a candy bar when you are ten years old. Killing someone with a vehicle due to your ignorance and reckless behavior is not a mistake that is a choice, he choose to smoke that shite and be stupid behind the wheel. There must be punishment and must be accountability. Young people these days are taught none. During the Obama administration in Broward and Miami-Dade County a policy was created to not penalize high school students when they committed a felony on school grounds, instead smack them on the hand and let them get away with it. That kind of thinking is a danger to society as there are no consequences for actions, no punishment for severe wrong doing and it must stop. You commit a felony you must suffer punishment otherwise you are perpetuating the behaivor of the young felon and putting the rest of us at risk allowing them to think they can get away with anything. Jail them all, you do crime you should be punished , simple as that
Should be tried as an adult, and have book thrown at them, never see daylight etc..... these punks who do these horrendous actions need severe punishment regardless of young age showing them and society that there is accountability for one's actions. It was not a crime of passion, for someone that age to simply decide to end someone elses life, in my mind there is no place in society for that kind of evil, age does not matter with a crime like that.
I feel our best future is with Connor Bezalek (sp?) not Robinson, he may prove me wrong but Robinson was ehh at best at TCU and Connor looked great for such a young guy and in command when he did play, either one that gets the nod i hope they are awesome, i was unimpressed with Bryant this year, injury or not he was not reading properly most of the time and our defense masked a lot of his short comings.
I kind of feel as if he opted to nit play in the Arkansas game, was banged up but could have played, but stood nothing to gain from it. Ultimately we got more game experience for two of our young QB's due to him sitting out, so it was a win until Conner (who looks very good) got injured....we are Mizzou we are cursed it seems.
No one said the Mason didn't scuffle with him, but...and i am not saying it is your logic...but many people are acting like it is acceptable to swing a helmet into someones bare head. If someone pushes me is it suitable or socially/morally/humanly acceptable for me to pull out a handgun and attempt to kill that person...hell no, i think this is the point most are seeing.
Then the race card that Garrett pulled is ridiculous, racism exists sure, and is wrong as hell....but when someone lies about racism to cause issues (Smollett, etc) or to get out of trouble it is a disgusting act and is racism in it own right, and causes resentment where none had existed before due to it egregious nature. There is no place in society for that.

I think the root is KB for some reason or it at least includes him. I also do not think Robinson may be the next QB up, Bazelek showed he has a nice confident calm demeanor and he throws strong and accurate. Robinson was not a world beater at TCU, he threw 9TD and 8 Int just saying, i hope he is a stud but until i see him killing it in a tiger uniform color me dubious.

Well i have seen many red zone trips end with a field goal after being inside the 10 because KB pulled it when he clearly should have given the ball to a RB, only to get stuffed for a minus 7 yards loss. Trust me running backs notice that, especially when you lose the team yards when they could have scored. Receiver notice when they are open and all you have to do is throw it in front of them and you dont. He is not an awful quarterback but i do miss Drew Lock.Certain players should be benched for their actions and are not such as Kam Scott. I think Bannister could be a TJ Moe type producer 70 catches 800 yards if given the opportunity, much better hands than anyone else they have at least.
That is a great uniform reveal, kudos to SC...now go beat the Gators fur us!

Yea they all get into analytics and measurements like that, and i can see the reasoning but their are just as many awful quarterbacks with 10 inch hands as there are that are high quality. I say he proves everyone wrong, he has the most natural arm talent in this years draft, he has a good head on his shoulders, and in his first couple years no one seems to give him credit that he had at least 4-5 passes horribly dropped by his receives, in fact i seen one stat that had him near the top of the list for QB's with the most dropped passes for past couple of years. Those 4-5 passes each game would drastically change his overall percentage, just like the outcome of games, like JJ's awful in and out of his hands pick 6 against Georgia last year. He should be just fine and i think he will be a solid pro.

I cant believe anyone down voted this...clearly they do not understand effort and hard work, this kid always hustled and played with grit.

Need all of our players to give that kind of effort and dig down deep at all times.

re: Emanuel Hall

Maclin has ridiculous ball skills and hands not many people have hands that good. but i agree before Hall got hurt this season Hall was running more underneath and shorter patterns while still getting open deep easily. Heck if you can get open deep that often why not go to it, right?
I think if he can stay healthy and improve his hands a bit he can be a top level receiver, he is crazy fast and grades out top on explosion, speed, etc. He had a crazy high Sparq score coming out of high school event before coming to college.

I would love to see him tear it up in the league.

Holmes was actually quite impressive once he got on the field at times.
Dru is not flashy but he is very methodical and fundamental, but gets it done. Very crafty from the videos i watched, i was hoping he would have played this year, i like that kind of a player.
He's the kind of player that without being flashy or having a crazy high flying play will drop 15 points on you and a bunch of assists.....i like him, i hope im right
And he dropped that 51 two years in a row on Tennessee
He is an ok college qb, but he does not have the arm talent to do what Kyler Murray did there at Oklahoma. He can not fit passes into tight little windows up and down the field. He will lose starting job to another QB on the roster or Rattler once he gets settled.

you can win a lot of games scrambling and throwing junk passes in the box to wide open receivers when you have a stellar defense. I dont hate the kid i just dont feel he has that much arm talent, or true accuracy. teams figured that out and thats why last year they started loading the box on him because he didnt have the arm to push them out of it. Just sayin'....arm talent is not there
Considering there are 352 starting defensive players in the NFL 85 saying it is him, doesn't really say much ....besides less than 25% believe that he is underrated.
Didn't have Big Albert O...didn't have Crockett...Didn't have either of our starting outside receivers, Hall sat out like most of the game.

If those players had played, especially Hall and Albert O we would have had receivers running free all game long and we would have won for certain.

Drew did a good job keeping us in contention with a much less dangerous and experienced set of receivers who arent as reliable catching nor getting open.

I know you will call this an excuse im just stating the facts though, things like this matter in football, one thing affects another...but ya we lost and im not happy about either, even with all that against us we still almost won.
Hurts is a pretty decent college quarterback but does not have the arm talent to be a game changer.

Dont hate the kid, he showed class and guts with his play, just a simple fact that he isn't going to stretch a field or be able to fit passes into tight windows up and down the field.

ESPECIALLY if he goes to a school where they dont have the abundance of riches at the receiver position that Alabama has had. Wide open receivers running free will make a lot of people look good, throw to a tiny window accurately and consistently..Teams would and will crowd the box on him making those passes even harder for a guy with a middle range arm.he isn't that guy, but i think in the right system he could finish his college career out on an upswing.
Agreed.....If Arkansas were any "scarier" they would be a My Little Pony
