Based on that logic UGA sealed Alabama in the playoffs with our win over the #2 seed UGA.

Well if this is the case, then I’ll be excited to see where Michigan lands in CFP.

If we get in fine,if not ok but every single SEC team if they re smart should start canceling contracts for future non conference opponents and play every cupcake they can find.if we do not.,These candy conferences racking up records playing near high school teams should not be rewarded, but they are.

Why risk a loss when these weak teams and conferences benefit? Kill the SECCG its no longer worth it, Georgia may very well have lost their starting QB.

Texas took an L which will cost then seeding and in this case cost them being considered a conference champ and they lose a bye.. No advantage to playing this game any more.,,

What? This isn’t Bama anymore. They’re just like any other team. Their mystique is running on fumes.

Yes and no. Do they really want to set a precedent that playing in the championship game makes it harder to make it to the playoffs than someone who doesn’t?

If SMU seats 32,000 for football. That suggests they aren't a big deal in Dallas at all.

I will say this too.When/if the ACC gets those two picks, they better win. For if they do not, the Booger Mc Farlands of the world should be ripped ripped and ripped again for calling for their inclusion.

I agree with this take, of the teams in line for the last spot this is the most fair ranking based on their seasons:

1. Army
2. SMU
3. Alabama

,…….but do I think that will happen,…….just ask FSU if they think their CFP evaluation was fair based on their season last year….

It is CLEARLY about other subjective things that the committee (or ESPN or Disney,…) wants to inject in the selection process.

Interesting that the projections changed overnight with no new information.

It becomes very subjective.

Subjective metrics favoring SMU seems like:
1. No bad losses
2. Alabama blown out by Oklahoma

Subjective metrics favoring Alabama seem like:
1. Best win (Georgia)
2. Name recognition and therefore anticipated viewership

And this assumes you favor Alabama over South Carolina and Ole Miss (which is probably mostly about brand name recognition/viewership)

During the regular season when SMU was not really expecting to do much? So, you think that market would show very little interest in SMU participating in the first 12 team playoff?

Compare any of their games to any of Bama's (besides Mercer) - we quadrupled their viewership. You are just being obstinate

SMU is in. Bama will be in the Weed Wacker Bowl in
Morgan City on December 26.
When DeBone stuck with LANK all hope was lost.
Will next year be any better? If not Yellow Wood will have to be approached for a loan with good rates.

Does Dallas give a shite about SMU?

Um, yeah they kinda do.

Go watch the Pony Express documentary.\\

Remember that when they joined the ACC and had to take much less conference money to get in, they needed $100 Million in cash right then and there to make up the difference. They got it in under a day from their supporters.

Yes, there are people in Dallas (very important people) who care about SMU.

Based on that logic

1) The bad losers from Tuscaloosa didn't make it to the conference championship game so they're one game short by worth.
2) They have three losses with one practically being a shutout.
3) Tennessee makes three from the SEC.
4) And they've dropped 3 of their last 8 games.

So W.I.T.H. would the committee risk loosing the public's opinion, of it's system, in it's very first year by gifting these clowns yet another year.

The 'bama fatigue would be real and dangerous when coupled with the ever growing NIL dislike. Of course there's always instant greed but I'm guessing the back room money guy's are smarter than that.

SMU is not an unknown.

I think the only program to ever receive the death penalty returning to prominence is a story line that would bring in ratings more than a crumbling dynasty would.

Same could've/should've been said for Bama last year then. Right?
