Kiffin is a great offensive coach - but there is no one, other than Saban in his prime, worth that.
Way too many question marks with him privately as well.
Seriously, we know LSU makes a ton of mistakes, they can’t be that stupid . . . can they?

That number is absolutely insane, and anyone willing to pay that should be fired

No coach is worth that plus whatever insane buyout Kiffin would want due to the BK fiasco.
That could come close to costing LSU almost $200 mil.

frick it, might as well give him some equity in the general fund

How much of ole Miss’ team does Kiffin want in Baton Rouge?

Thats crazy Kirby's contract would have to match. He is in Athens all like....

Posted on 11/25/25 at 8:07 am to finchmeister08
That is WORSE than a Woodward contract

I know for a fact ole Miss isn’t matching that. Nor should they
That is astronomically retarded.
This shite is out of control.

I thought the Governor of Louisiana made it loud and clear they weren’t going to do another ridiculous contract and do it differently? I figured they would do their next contract similar to Elko’s incentive based contract? Well, it’s Louisiana after all.

How can they afford that? Honest question?
Posted on 11/25/25 at 8:16 am to Gatorbait2008
I’m sure they can afford it in a sense, but there is just no way it doesn’t impact other parts of LSU athletics.
I think UF should do whatever it takes tbh. I’m not sure any school in America would benefit as much from having a high profile character like Lane as UF.

UF seems like a perfect fit

Right now UF is an untapped massive brand in a massive wealthy state with a huge moneyed alum base…that is incredibly boring.
Kiff would change that overnight. UF needs a personality at the top in my view.

That last $100,000,000 coaching contract worked out so well for them, l can’t see how a $114,000,000 contract could possibly go wrong for them.
Posted on 11/25/25 at 8:25 am to captdalton
They will just fire him for cause or something like that to get out of it. Contract isn’t worth more than toilet paper

At this rate LSU is going to spend an additional $50,000,000 on legal fees.
