Offseason is built for threads like this.
Let’s get it started....

“What if” Saban Stayed at LSU and never left?
If that happens LSU likely becomes the power of the SEC. And would stop Bama from being a Dynasty.

“What if” Cam Newton never left UF?
Does UF win another Natty? Maybe 2?
Talk about a dynasty maybe

“What if” Tua never replaces Hurts vs UGA?
Likely UGA wins it all and the 1980 jokes are no longer.

“What if” Texas AM was able to keep Kyler Murray?
Does AM win a Natty? If so if Sumlin still here today? Also no 1939 jokes.

“What if” LSU hires Tom Herman over O?
Does 2019 happen? Does LSU even land Burrow? Or does LSU even Keep Herman?

“What if” Tua never gets hurt in the 2019 season?
Does Bama make the playoffs and face LSU one more time? In the Game of the Century Part 3?

“What if” UGA kept Fields from going to OSU?
Does UGA go onto to win atleast 1 Natty?

Feel free to add any suggestions.

What if 4th and 25 didn’t happen? Ole Miss would’ve been in Atlanta, and had a chance at making the CFP. Thanks a lot Arkansas.

What if Nick Saban chose Drew Brees over Dante Culpepper?

What if Alabama doesn't frick up hiring Diddy Bowden back in the 80s? No long period of sucking, but also very unlikely Saban ever makes it to Alabama.

Likely Saban stays in the NFL, and Bama continues to be average maybe?
Paving the way for teams like LSU, UGA, Auburn, Florida to win more Nattys.

What if 2012 UF doesn't fumble inside the five vs Georgia.

What if Tulane and GT hadn’t left? Would they have gone to a Championship game scenario earlier?

1. You still would have to get the two point conversion
2. You’d have to stop Georgia from scoring a FG with a little over a minute left
3. You’d have to win in OT

So even if all that works out, you lose to Bama in the SECCG

Saban's winning percentage was lower at LSU.

He would have won, and won big...but not as big. Remember: Francione over Saban, 31-0. He's never been beat like that at Alabama.

He's the right coach at the right place at the right time. Ligtning in a bottle. If Saban follows Bear Bryant instead of the NCAA/Fran/Price/Schula, it could have ended differently.

What if Saban never hires Kiffin? Not only was his offense the reason Bama beat Clemson in 2015, but he is a big reason for Alabama's permanent change in offensive philosophy. He also convinced Saban to take a chance on Steve Sarkisian as an analyst

Rich Rod takes the Bama job. Assuming he gets fired around 2011, who does Bama hire then? Dan Mullen at Mississippi State? Bert? Muschamp? Butch?

Yeah, Saban had nothing to do with hiring Kiffin, desiring and welcoming the offensive change, and managing Kiffin's immature arse.

Good Lord. Some of the shite you guys make up is unreal.

Definitely a better team in 2019 and 2020. I dont know about beating burrow in 2019 or beating bama twice in 2020 (probably win the first one).

What if Shane Beamer stayed at SC as recruiting coordinator, and or Spurrier replaces Beamer with a qualified recruiting coordinator, not his son.

It may not have allowed CLemson to rise to the heights they have, and SC may still be a 9 to 11 win team

What if we had hired Kirby because Richt talked UGA into giving him another year?

What if we had interviewed Lincoln Riley and given him the job?

What if we had hired Chadwell, Freeze, or Napier... you know what too soon and Ray Tanner can kiss my arse.

Actually, what if we told Chad Holbrook to piss off to UNC back in 2012?

Meh, it was a little different starting at Bama than starting at LSU.

Also, he did have that 28 point loss to Clemson which was close enough. Also lost to Louisiana Monroe his first season.

I see no reason why Saban couldn't have had the same success at LSU as Alabama, Alabama doesn't necessarily have something that LSU doesn't.

Not the correct one for A&M. I can think of four better ones.

What if Leeland McElroy caught the Hook and Lateral in the 1994 Cotton Bowl? (A&M lost 24-21)

What if t.u. missed the game winning field goal in 1998? (A&M lost 26-24)

What if Bill Byrne hired Urban Meyer in 2002 instead of Dennis Franchione?

What if Taylor Bertoilet doesn't miss 2 field goals and an extra point against LSU in 2012? (A&M lost by 5)

and finally...what if R.C. Slocum had won a single bowl game played on New Years Day? (0-5)

All would have had a greater impact than Kyler Murray staying and failing to develop under Sumlin/Spavital
