I remember the SWC. The cheating.. the refs that hated Arkansas as the only non-Texas school in the conference (it would make Marc Curles blush)The trans ams.etc. We journeyed to greener pastures to our Southern brethren. Won some nattys in bb and track, went to numerous World Series, assembled the stoutest cfb backfield in history. Won some and lost some but we are home. Now here y’all are again, Texas and Texas A&M. Tennessee was the last state to join the Confederacy and the first one to leave it. I was born and raised in Metro Memphis(The Arkansas side) I always repped the HOGS and Memphis music history. I used to be somewhat jealous Arkansas had no “big city’” I mean Memphis is next door in Tn. ….But Anyway, now that I’m older and wiser i have to say that there is more negatives than positives of having a big city in your state. For example, atlanta turned georgia blue as your balls. Also, pro sports are boring.
