It’s hard to call any National Champion a fraud. 1984 BYU and 1990 Colorado fit that bill well.

What is this "3 TD" shite? In 8 quarters and one OT, a total of ONE TD was scored by both teams combined. And it came in the last quarter of the second game. One defense finally broke, the other didn't.

I love how LSU fans think they would’ve beat Oklahoma st in the championship game in 2011 if bama doesn’t make it. With that game plan you rolled out there OSU would’ve steamrolled you also. Either team would’ve prolapsed your buttholes.

Ohio State was insanely overrated. They only played 3 ranked teams all season, including a Vince Young-less Texas team (ranked #2 at the time ) and an equally overrated UM team that ran unscathed through a pathetic Big Ten. They did not play the second best team in their conference (Wisconsin) due to no conference title game.

I expected a close game going in but knew our DL would be a problem for them. I assumed their vaunted defense would slow our running game. I had no idea that Troy Smith would be a fat tub of lard running like a toddler with a full diaper. Nor did I expect Tressell and Jim Heacock to be so terrified of getting beaten deep by our WRs that they would play 7-10 yard cushions the entire game.

Meh, probably not. It's the same plan that had beaten the P12 champ, the ACC champ, and the SECE champ. LSU trailed Alabama by 9 at the half in the NCG. The last two games before the NCG, LSU was behind #3 Arkansas, 0-14, minutes before half. They ended up winning 41-17. Then, minutes to go in the 1st half in the SECCG, LSU trailed by 10 to #16 UGA. LSU ended up winning that game 42-10. Both games turned on a big special teams or defensive play. LSU had 9 Def./S-T TDs in 2011. The 2011 NC game wasn't exactly out of hand at the half. A Def/S-T TD would've made it a two-point game - it just didn't happen. Saban was too savvy and played it safe and protected the ball. For LSU it was live by the sword, die by the sword. No adjustments.

So if you are saying MSU have Cam - 200k then that is a gift,. If Auburn gave him $$$, then we got a deal.

They also played a team with a player who had to settle out of court a law suit about a rape. He shouldn’t have been on the field. But crooked Fisher and the Tallahassee police did everything to keep him playing.

Do you even watch football?

Of course if OSU had not lost to a bad non-bowl eligible ISU team we might have found out.

You mean the one that won their National Championship game by 3 TD's?

The team that had their only regular season loss come by 3 points to who you (Apparently) think was the best team in the nation and lost that NC game by 3 TD?

Play 2011 Bama vs LSU ten times, & each team wins 5 times. It was just Bama’s turn that night to win.

I have nothing against Bama, I have a former student who currently plays for them, so I’ll always have a admiration for them offering the kid a scholarship.

But if you don’t win your conference, or fricking division, you shouldn’t get a mulligan.

Alabama playing in the 2011 championship game when they didn’t win their division or conference and only 2 teams made the playoff during that era. Shouldn’t been Okie Light. If it were UT or Oklahoma in that situation, they probably get in over Alabama based on name alone.

Had LSU won the rematch vs Bama, it’s without a doubt the single most impressive season in the modern era.

It was an impressive schedule for sure.

Alabama lost the 1st one after missing 4 out of 6 FGs in the game. LSU made all 3 of their attempts to win.

In the 2nd game, Alabama won by making 5 FGs and a TD to seal it off late.

Overall Alabama moved the ball better in both games, but it was a defensive struggle that came down to FG kickers.

I don't think it would have been 50/50. I think LSU pretty much got their best case scenario the 1st time around - Alabama missing a bunch of FG's. Yeah, college kickers and all that, but hitting 33% is not normal.

Alabama shouldn't even have been in that game. LSU beat Alabama AT Brian Dennehy stadium. Oklahoma State earned their spot in that game, regardless of a "bad loss" and Nick Saban crying on ESPN with his girls in attendance.

Oklahoma St lost to a team that wouldn't have even been bowl eligible or had a winning record if not for that win. They choked.

I think someone's just upset about the results. At the time I seem to remember LSU fans being pretty happy about "getting to beat Alabama/Saban again".

Did LSU beat y’all or not?
Did they win the division & conference, or not?

All that you typed doesn’t matter. They won & the garbage ncaa allowed you guys to get a rematch that shouldn’t have happened.
