And okay, the Hail Mary was lucky,

I am one who say the play was semi-lucky....but I also give credit to the WR who did not give up on the play and was in position to catch the tipped pass. Sometimes you make your luck.

You can claim that but the referees saw it differently and so did the replay cameras. I mean, if you want to argue that, then I would argue that Auburn deserved to lose because they gave up a huge lead.

the team that crossed the 50 yd line ONE time

The same team that beat Bama AT HOME? The undefeated team that would have beat any other school that day?

Bama was given every psychological advantage in the rematch. Our team knew it was bullshite to have to play them again.

Congrats on your mulligan win.

Beat the Big East/Orange Bowl champs by 26 in Morgantown (10-3, dropped 70 in a BCS bowl)

Let’s not make this out to be a really good team. West Virginia got run out of the building by Syracuse and lost to Louisville that year. They were barely top 25 heading into the Orange Bowl, and they blew out a Clemson team that sucked during the last third of the season.

Beat Georgia by 32 in the SECCG (10-4)

UGA didn’t beat a team that finished ranked. They got handled in their home state by Boise to open the season.

Beat Florida and Auburn by 30+.

Florida was a .500 team. Auburn went 7-5.

Your comment on FSU was way off. That Rose Bowl game had talent everywhere. Jimbeauxx had already lost control of that team and they were totally unprepared to play Oregon. Pruitt was not the D Coordinator either.

1998 Tennessee Vols, hands down.

There were several games they should have lost and Forrest Gumped out of them with a win, and then they faced a pock-marked freshman quarterback named Marcus Outzen in the NCG instead of Chris Weinke. Outzen didn't know his arse from a hole in the wall and basically handed the Vols the title.

Alabama shouldn't even have been in that game. LSU beat Alabama AT Brian Dennehy stadium. Oklahoma State earned their spot in that game, regardless of a "bad loss" and Nick Saban crying on ESPN with his girls in attendance.

1984 Brigham Young.
Got to play a 6-5 Michigan team in the Holiday Bowl to "earn" the title. And barely won that one.

Everyone is definitely going to look at this topic with fresh eyes and an open heart after all these years. I'm sure with more discussion between the two sides, we can reach a consensus

And beat the brakes off Ohio State in the NCG. Don't let your butt-hurt from the Fiesta Bowl carry over into this thread.

The FSU fake punt turned the entire game around. Had that not happened or had Auburn stopped it, they likely would've gone down and scored another TD.

2007 LSU was preseason #2. Plus that entire season no one wanted to win it, lol. LSU gets a pass.

They lost to unranked Arkansas and unranked Kentucky. There is no pass for that. Plus they cheated their way to at least one more win they shouldn't have had. If that isn't a fraud then idk what is
