Bama 2018. The way they played, half the teams Clemson played last year looked deserving to be ranked #2.

2001 Nebraska.
They were destroyed by 38 points in their final game, losing their division in the process.
They were 4th in both human polls, but somehow the computer polls put them above both 10-1 Oregon and the team that smashed them, 10-2 Colorado. Oregon would go on to beat Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl, proving they deserved to face Miami, not Nebraska.

I’m split between Michigan St 2015 and Ohio State 2016. Both teams were shutout in the Playoffs by Bama and Clemson respectively by a combined score of 69-0 - once again proving the B1G to be the most overhyped conference on the planet. Thank god the committee has seen fit to shutout the B1G the playoffs the past two years thereby saving the conference further humiliation.

Yeah that team was a fraud. People love to get on Bama for 2011 and 2017 but 01 Nebraska,03 Oklahoma, and 16 Ohio State were all much bigger frauds.

The team that didn’t even win their division, let alone their conference.

Get out
2013 Auburn was strong. They almost beat FSU

Notre Dame. By far. They get way too much credit for absolutely nothing. Anytime they manage to string 2 consecutive wins together the media starts talking about a National Championship.
Still living off the very very distant past. Hey, it’s 2019! Notre Dame just isn’t relevant anymore!

People want to call the Kick Six a fluke, but they forget the only reason Saban lobbied so hard for that extra second and tried to kick such a long field goal is because Auburn had ALL the momentum at that point and everybody including Saban knew that Auburn was going to win in OT anyway
And okay, the Hail Mary was lucky, but again people are forgetting that the biggest fluke of that entire game was UGA being up to begin with. Aaron Murray's knee was down nearly a full yard short of the end zone on 4th down for the go ahead TD. It was a fluke that the ref called it a TD to begin with and the only reason it got upheld on the review is because the SEC office made a call bc they wanted to ensure Bama a spot in the SECCG which they would have wrapped up then had AU lost. The Hail Mary was just the universe correcting karma

he team that crossed the 50 yd line ONE time the whole game. 21-0 if i remember. got “#2 nationally” rings made
LSU was undefeated and had one of the toughest schedules in history.
It was one of the most laughable coaching performances in sports history and one of the biggest collapses on the biggest stages that you will ever see. But don’t say they didn’t deserve to be there.

The AllBarners never quit. Poor things! It seems everyone is out to get them. Controversial calls, SEC conspiracies, wah wah, wah! You got whipped AU. Suck it up. As for the kick 6 and prayer in Ohare even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. It wasn’t the universe correcting karma it was pure blind luck.

-Beat the eventual national champions in Tuscaloosa (13-1, top 5)
-Beat the Big East/Orange Bowl champs by 26 in Morgantown (10-3, dropped 70 in a BCS bowl)
- Beat the PAC 12/Rose Bowl champs by 13(12-2, top 5)
- Beat Arkansas by 24 (11-2, top 5, only losses were to LSU and Bama)
-Beat Georgia by 32 in the SECCG (10-4)
-Beat Florida and Auburn by 30+.
Had LSU won the rematch vs Bama, it’s without a doubt the single most impressive season in the modern era.

I would apologize on behalf of Auburn football for the butthurt inflicted on you by the events of the greatest game of all time played during that season, but I don’t wish to

I remember Tommy Frazier and Nebraska running through a Florida team like water through a faucet.

2007 LSU - lost to unranked Kentucky and Arkansas and got lucky as hell in a few other games. They also needed a few miracles to even get in the championship game.
Do we consider Byrd's blatant offensive pass interference going uncalled in the game winner vs Auburn as "lucky" or "cheating"?

thanks to the uncalled face mask, which if called, would have given UGA the ball on the 1 yard line.

Since when do you spot the ball at the knee? Look where the ball is at when the knee is down.

That team got so many lucky/fluky breaks, but I wouldn't say they were a fraud. They were less than a minute away from beating a great FSU team that had one of the best rosters in recent memory.
We screwed ourselves in the Georgia and FSU game.
In both games, Auburn dominated the first halves, then let both them back into the game in the second half.
I don't like saying it like that though. The other teams had to both play well in the second half for that to happen.

You mean the one that won their National Championship game by 3 TD's?
The team that had their only regular season loss come by 3 points to who you (Apparently) think was the best team in the nation and lost that NC game by 3 TD?
