Any decent steak you order in Texas probably came from a feed lot in the midwest.

I'd argue with you about the brisket, but the fact that you're giving the edge to Missouri because of their cabbage tells me i'd be wasting my time.

Your Pop was wrong then, President of an "Atlanta Bank", or not.

Also, a "fried green" is never "soggy" if cooked right in lard/canola and salt.

Stop disgracing Southern cooking with your self-righteous heritage-searching. This is a food topic, not a geneolology thesis.

If I were to pick just one from each:

(1) LSU: Shrimp Po'Boys

(2) South Carolina: Low country boil

(3) UGA: Buttermilk Fried Chicken.

(4) Missouri: Kansas City BBQ

(5) Texas A&M: Brisket.

(6a) Arkansas: Ground-smoked/Pit-cooked Hog.
(6b) Florida: Cuban Sandwich

Vinegar sauce is better than the mustard sauce.

In before:

Ole Miss-cold Walmarks chicken tenders, red and blue Rice Krispie treats, salty unknown dip covered in cheese with Fritos scoops.

Edit-someone beat me to it.

Bonus: those tortilla pinwheel things that get soggy and mushy the minute you take the lid off of them.

Yes Lord. Spread a table cloth on the picnic table, dump it on there and have at it.

So in essence, I need to be at a LSU tailgate every Saturday. Maybe A&M or Missouri if they get the brisket right.

Missouri and brisket?

Those methheads aren’t known for that. Leave brisket to the Texans.

you find that at every tailgate in Starkville. Hell sometimes you see a lobster boil going. When there is an afternoon or night opening game there will be dove breasts on the grill.

Don’t church that shite up. Y’all serve homemade cheese at tailgates in Starkville. I’ve been. It’s nothing to write home about.

I'm just sayin I've seen it... granted it was only twice but damn it was awesome. I walked by was like damn that's some big crawfish and some dude said son them ain't crawfish... and then he offered for me to try some. I didn't even know the guy and they were giving me lobster. Starkville is such a fantastic place. Nicest people in the world.

Normal night game tailgate in october.
filet kabobs
rotel dip or some other dip
chips
beers
hot wings
burgers

Honestly the last spread I had in Starkville was pretty good. Homemade pulled pork, Mexican cornbread, homemade mac and cheese. Washed down with Titos and soda. Legit.

How TF is Georgia getting credit for Fried Chicken when Kentucky exists in the SEC. You going to have some World Famous Alabama Bourbon to go with it too?
