Clearly?....Tennessee has played in a historically much tougher conference.

When I was growing up and a little kid (90's), I'd say Tennessee. Now, it's Texas. Historically, it's Texas as well.

Simply put (sorry Vol fans), when someone says they went to/or cheer for UT, most immediately think of Texas.

To prove I'm not biased, the same can be said for USC...

Historically, who do they constantly play that’s worth a damn?

There’s —

Alabama

Florida (first conference championship was in the 90’s)

UGA (solid)

Kentucky

USC (since expansion)

Vanderbilt

Then there’s the rotating LSU, Auburn, etc from the West

Tejas is one of , if not the most, overrated football program in the land. Darrel Royal was great and no one else has done shite other than mack brown's one NC. yet, it seems to me, that people want to constantly suck their honker. it is self appointed prestige. their middle of the pack at best

Darrell Royal, the Texas coaching legend was born in Hollis, Oklahoma and he graduated from OU, playing under the legendary OU coach Bud Wilkinson. Texas fans can't stand it.
