Got banned last year from shaggytexas for stating that Tennessee had a better tradition than Texas... not that I necessarily believed it. Just wanted to piss off the A holes.
Now that the website is on life support.... Just wanted to post it over here .
Both have four claimed national championships.
Similar bowl-winning percentages

Both claim to be The "UT", when the real UT is in Tampa

With modern review Namath scores.

Considering that the University of Texas would be the University of North Mexico if it weren't for Tennessee, Tennessee >>>>>>Texas

And so does Tucker Frederickson in the 1964 Iron Bowl. Game ends in a 21-21 tie.
Arkansas wins the NC as the only team with a perfect record.
Works for me.
You good?

Texas, but the gap isn’t all that large. They spent most of their existence in a conference of doormats.

Considering that the University of Tennessee was established before Texas was even a state would lead you to believe the REAL UT is Tennessee.
One must also consider the strength of the conferences that both teams play in. The SEC has always been much stronger top to bottom which leads to many of Texas' wins and conference championships.

That's USF, but points for effort

Is this even a question? It's clearly Texas

The southwest conference was a complete joke, but having said that, Texas had a great run with Darrell Royal. He was an incredible football mind.
