Most dominant imo is 95 Nebraska. They destroyed everyone.
Do I think they could beat the best teams of the last 10 years? No, probably not.. but I don’t think that matters. You can only compare them to the other teams in that era.. and they were that much better than everyone else.
As an example.. 2019 LSU is an all time great team, but they weren’t that much better than 2019 Alabama.. 2019 Texas.. 2019 Auburn..
Just my opinion.

That 2005 Texas team was no joke either

1992 Bama.
The best defense in college football history.

They are definitely up there on the list as are many of Bama’s teams, and the 01 Canes..
But It’s almost impossible to compare across years though..

2010 Auburn would clap 2019 LSU's cheeks.
I mean, 2019 Auburn was an onside kick recovery away from beating 2019 LSU.

2019 LSU. Im not biased, its just the facts. Beat 7 top 10 teams. Only real trouble they faced was Auburn and Texas. Destroyed the playoff competition. Won every award there was to win. Broke every offensive record worth breaking.

2020 Didn't play a single cupcake except LSU.
These are opinions. I just listed off notable accomplishments by that LSU team that actually played more games with home crowds.

Thanks for this new topic, and I was on the edge of my seat wondering who you were going to pick as I clicked on the thread.

If you are talking football 1995 Nebraska and it's not really close

2020 Alabama would bitch slap Joe Burrow and 2019 LSU like 2018 Alabama bitch slapped Joe Burrow and 2018 LSU 29-0 in Baton Rouge.
Got lucky Tua wasn't near 100% in 2019.
1995 Nebraska would be a better challenge.

15-0.
But 2019 takes the cake. They would’ve probably made the NFL playoffs.

1995 Nebraska. Really not a debate.
2019 LSU gets silver though for sure.

I think the game has changed enough times that across eras it can’t be compared.
Of the current era, 2019 LSU followed by 2020 Alabama. The pre-spread era was 1995 Nebraska followed by the 1987 Miami Hurricanes.
I wasn’t alive to see some of the 1970s OU teams that had that undefeated streak.

2022 Georgia was certainly best defense.
Naah. They couldn't cover Harrison and he was really their #2 receiver.
I think OSU was on running back #3 or #4 too.
