The best rivalry nickname honestly is the one we watched tonight. The Backyard Brawl is a great name and always is fun to watch. Now Pitt and WVU just need to get their heads out of their asses and figure a way to play every year from now on.

Red River Shootout is incredibly stupid

Agreed. Red River War was better but the cucks at ABC re-branded it

Nobody in this state calls it the Red River-Anything.
We just call it OU-Texas.

Third Saturday in October isn’t creative or cool.
it does to football fans since they know what it means.

It brings you back to where Bear stated that you knew what kind of team you had by then.

It has history to folks over 30.

I like the ones that stem from a part of the location's past/culture not ones that a newspaper asked fans to vote on a few years ago to try and spice up a dull affair, and then to settle on COFH, lol.

WLOCP is the best, and describes it perfectly.

It has potential but needs to the WLO and just become TCP. Too wordy to merit consideration.

It's not actually "egg bowl." The official name of the rivalry is "The Battle for the Golden Egg."

The Battle for the Old Mountain Jug was the name given to the Appalachian State–Western Carolina football rivalry.

What is in the jug?

Simple. The ACC should be the first conference to go to 20 teams, and they should start by adding West Virginia (for their brand potential in all sports) and UCONN (for their basketball brand, Boston-Hartford-NYC footprint, and academics).
