re: Transfers WBB

Smith was a good backup, but was not going to be a starter. Had Poa stayed on the team this year she would have got next to zero playing time. Del Rosario should have transferred to a mid major.
We were fortunate to even have a 1 point lead at that point. They made a low percentage shot and beat us. I will say it’s been a while since I’ve seen a team seem to be in the right place at the right time quite so much. Not taking away from Dukes efforts, but it seemed every loose ball bounced right to them. It really doesn’t matter because no matter who won UCLA was going to handle.
If Koval stays I agree she will be better next year. Grace Knox will be better as well. They need an offensive threat with size though. If they can find a 6’4+ who can score 15 or more consistently against SEC teams they can be special next year. We will be loaded at 1-3.

FlauJae goes incredibly cold in most of the big games. MKW goes cold a lot too. Mylasia held us in this one in the first half. We desperately need a big who can can give us 15-20 points against big time opponents. Got to find a stud 5 in the portal. Not just a Joyner or Koval. They are good bigs, but not enough of a scoring threat.
He had a bad wreck in Los Angeles in 2021. Car tumbled down an embankment. I don’t think he was charged with a dwi on that one, but he was going 40 mph over the speed limit.
She is doing her best to lose this. Pass the ball. You are 1-7.
The gas prices are largely driving this. If he can get that down in the low 2’s again in states like LA/TX it will come up. Something has to be done with meat prices though. I’m afraid that will take years though.
Sadly the best way to do this is for every state to gerrymander equally. Small/Medium states like AL and LA should get to be 6-1 or 7-0. The left leaning states have already gerrymandered in most cases as much as they can. At this point every right leaning state needs to jump on board. I’m surprised VA can get a map put together to be so heavily D when it’s still a 55-45 state, but the good news is the harder left states have already done this. It is time for the 55+ republican states to do the same.

63 years old and just had 2 stents put in. He may be out of coaching pretty soon.
Could mean Joyner as well. The WNBA expanded last year which will help some players like Amaya to have a shot.
We don’t put down Orcas when they kill humans either. If a dog as much as bites someone people are up in arms to put it down, but a killer whale gets a pass on murder.
I miss that 90’s era of BBall. Perry Clark had Tulane going, UNO was a good team, and LaTech was having some solid years. LSU was deteriorating at the same time though coming off the loss of Shaq.
Willis Reed, Orlando Woolridge, and Bill Russell was born in West Monroe before family moved out west. The next 50 years SouthLa will have a huge advantage though. The AAU is such a big part of development now. Guys like Karl Malone played at little class c schools in the middle of nowhere.

Was Divine Bourrage not at the game?

I didn’t get to watch the 1st round, but I didn’t see her on the bench today. Maybe I missed something.
That was a strong 5 year window in north central Louisiana bball. Scotty Thurmond out of Ruston in ‘92. Went to Arky and was 2nd leading scorer on national title team. Jerald Honeycutt came out of Grambling the next year. Would have ended up at a big time program, but stabbed someone and went to Tulane. Played several years of pro ball. Fizer came out of Arcadia a few years later, and ended a lottery pick in the draft.
I watched him a few times in HS. His teammate, name escapes me, committed to LSU, but I don’t think he was ever high on LSU. Tim Floyd was coaching at ISU and had spent time coaching in LA and recruited him hard.
Joe Rogan is not a conservative, and has never claimed to be. He supported Bernie Sanders for prez. He doesn’t love Trump. He just cannot recognize the democrats anymore. All of the covid stuff woke him up to how crazy they truly are. He supports a lot of drug legalization, gay marriage, and probably abortion. If you are listening to him to get right wing marching orders you’re looking in the wrong place. I like Rogan primarily for his interviews with scientists, tech leaders, and occasionally comedians when I’m just looking for something light hearted.
We lost 2 out of 3 to the #8 team in the nation. Pump the brakes a little. Last year we hit pretty well in the portal with Ant, Dickinson, and Hernandez. In 2023 we hit with White and Skenes. It looks like we missed for the most part this year.
The good news is Schmidt is looking solid, and Evans just had his best outing. Cowan will probably become Sunday starter moving forward, but we still have a solid group of relievers. Things can still turn around.

Couple of games in a row Rucker’s has booted one. He’s got to zap that ball to first in that situation.

I don’t love Trump saying stuff like this, but the truth is it’s really not costing him politically. I am curious if we will find out what led to Mueller’s passing. There’s no way they are going to come out and say it had anything to do with Alzheimer’s.
