GA is not LA or AL. I’m not saying it’s a democrat state, but it’s definitely a purple state. I’m not a Kemp fanatic, but it’s a whole different ballgame than these other southern states. Lots of white libs have moved in along with a much larger Hispanic population than other southern states. Add that in with 30+% black population, and you have a tough balancing act to keep control.

You do realize that the constitution says literally nothing about seceding. Lee, like many in the south, felt they had every right to choose their state over the union. There was no law preventing it. It wasn’t until 1869 in the case of TX vs. White that the SC decided that a state choosing to join the US represented an ironclad bond with no possible exit. The current SC might not reach that same conclusion. It doesn’t say such anywhere.

Yes. This is a “they started it first” situation though. Democrats have been creating crazy districts in blue states for quite some time to maximize democrat votes from large metro areas. IL is a prime example as well as what they were trying to do in VA. In response, red states are doing the exact opposite cutting Democrat enclaves into multiple pieces to dilute that vote.

Senator Jay Morris told some of them to shut up, and they acted like he killed their first born. When VA and CA held votes to change districts Republicans didn’t storm the state houses. It only happens when they don’t get their way.
