Cordarrelle Patterson only played 1 season at UT. In that season he received:

24 punts for 671 yards and 1 TD (averaging 28.0 yards per return)

The answer is Bobby Majors…Tennessee. It was helped by the fact the blocking rules were different..but he was the GOAT…and still is.

Ace Sanders is the only one I've ever know that was able to return one to the 55 yard line...

Palmer only played 3 yrs and missed a game or two of that. Most guys on the list played 4 yrs.

Palmer was legit though.

If I remember correctly the honey badger got very few punts kicked to him. Most chose to kick if out of bounds

You don’t remember correctly. Mathieu didn’t really go wild in the return game until the end of the season. Returned a punt for a TD against Arkansas the last game of the season and then had two wild punt returns against UGA in the SECCG. He actually split time returning punts with Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle

Faulk and Skyler Green, yeah people tried punting the ball away from them
