That plan I think only added like 5,000 seats overall, it might have even taken some away to be honest. I can't remember. I know it wasn't a significant difference one way or another. I doubt that exact plan will be done, but something similar will be done to the north endzone at some point. They already started trying to expand the walkways and stuff for an eventual renovation.

True. I've only been in the uppers at BDS once years back - and it feels like you're looking down at the Grand Canyon.
It keeps the heat in Sept. JHS at night is totally different because of the openness of the upper decks. You almost get a Dome feel in BDS.

Sanford has multiple decks that wrap around.
I would say you're right about UK. Auburn and UK have very similar stadiums with UK's just being smaller.

Personally I would vote for Kyle Field, because it's probably as nice on the inside as the outside. Many SEC stadiums look nice, but are really dated on the inside.

Right and AU's and UA's upper decks are different. Lower bowl of sanford is basically they same.

Be frugal, spend on the suites where you get the big $$, pour funds into the football facilities and locker rooms to attract recruits and just leave the aesthetics and facade like it is even though the overall exterior needs some attention.

Only time will tell. We will have to improve the exterior of the stadium regardless. We definitely won't be doing any large additions to capacity.

Symmetry is the key to any stadium. My big concern for JHS is that they try to piecemeal any addition. UF stadium is the most dysfunctional stadium in the SEC.

I wouldn't mind just a simple renovation, keep the interior looking the same. Expand the concourse and upgrade the facade around the stadium. Put a decently modern scoreboard/screen on the north endzone, and dump the rest into concessions upgrades, bathroom upgrades, and facility upgrades. Maybe add a row of boxes or something at the top of the endzone or whatever. Regardless, changes need to be made to improve it. The erector set looks abhorrent.

That picture of ours is pre-renovation.

Tiger Stadium would be one great looking stadium from the outside if the East and West upper additions stuck with the coliseum look. I can't believe they made it that tan looking color on that side.

It really is amazing how the architects were able to make BDS aesthetically pleasing, because for years it was ugly as shite. Really until the end zone upper decks were built.
Still, I've always liked the look of Tiger Stadium.

Ole Miss is the ugliest IMO. Which is unfortunate, because I love Oxford.
VHS looks like 5 different people designed it and none of the 5 were allowed to talk to the other 4. It’s a head scratcher considering how obsessed they are with appearances.

That's always been my impression of Neyland.

Kyle is probably the best looking. Tiger Stadium the ugliest (it looks like a prison).

Personally, I really like General Neyland's giant erector set by the river.

Vandy. It's old school stadium that isn't full of all the bells and whistles crap that distracts people from watching the actual game. Of course... since it's Vandy football the people are watching the bells and whistles are kind of needed.
