I've been watching SEC basketball for 45 years some of my favorite were:
Kenny Sky Walker / Malik Monk / Chapman / AD too many to mention
Shaq/Vernel Singleton/ Scales
But the best?
Without Question is Dominque Wilkins

Ole Miss it would be Terrico White. He was on ESPN top 10 plays a lot for his dunking.

The correct answer for UA fans is Brandon Dean.

it had me thinking of some of the best dunkers I've seen in the NCAA.
Not SEC and I dont even remember if dunking was legal back then but I remember watching David Thompson for NC State get knocked out by hitting his head on the backboard...

The best I've ever seen in game time consistently was Vince Carter. In fact Jordan doesn't make my top 3 all timein the NBA.
Carter
Wilkins
Dr J
Hawkins
The freak that was Shawn Kemp
My favorite dunks by guards were Kevin Johnson giving Hakeem a facial and Starks posterizing Jordan and Grant in the NBA finals. That dude had air.

For a young Bammer it's Tony Mitchell
For a mid thirties bammer, it's Gerald Wallace.
Wallace is THE answer. That dude was nasty.

Dwayne Curtis
I was gonna say Eric Allen... He was a 6' 7.5" JUCO Barnes brought in and he could barely dunk.

Definitely Porter for Auburn
I gotta give it to Chris Morris. Porter and Barkley on the next tier.

Stromile Swift, Tyrus Thomas

Swift, Thomas, and Shaq would be my top three for LSU but I'll throw out a darkhorse for HM. Stanley Robert's fat arse woild wreck a rim.

As much as it pains me to admit it.
This is not even a fair contest.
Dominique Wilkins and the bulldogs walk away with this award.
Also, I still hate georgia.

For LSU I would add The Iceman: Jerry Reynolds.

As a UGA fan who hates Auburn, I can appreciate how difficult that was for you.
The thing that was so nasty about 'Nique was that he got up so damn high jumping off two feet when most guys jump off one. He would plant and explode off the court. Threw it down hard too. Just filthy.

Once again, who cares! Geauxrilla Bawl in play!

For Georgia (and probably the entire SEC), it's 'Nique of course.
Georgia's second best is, without question - Travis Leslie.

I feel sorry for all you LSU fans that never saw Dewayne "Astronaut" Scales play or attend a game in the Assembly Center during the 79, 80 or 81 season's...............
