Why? This is based solely on the 2018 season and 2019 preseason rankings.

MSU is a better program than Mizzou. So is Kentucky. Given that MO has both KC and STL in their state but manages to be mediocre signals that they just don’t give a damn about football. MSU shares a state with another SEC school, has no metro area with which to pull, and still manages to be a ranked SECW competitor.

I know it’s fun to hate on Missouri because of their midwesterness, but damn some of y’all really undersell them as a program

MSU is in more fertile recruiting territory than Mizzou

Miss State has a better situation than Auburn (less instate competition) yet still have a below .500 record

Yeah, I caught that after my post but didn't feel like editing it. I figured they at least had a D2 or juco school with football, but upon Googling it, they don't have a single college football program, not even Canadian Rules football. What do those poor people do on Saturdays in the fall? Same with Vermont. No D1; only D2 and below.

Please don't comment on college football.

This fact is what always makes me chuckle when the odd Clemson fan throws a barb at the trip we're taking to App St. soon. It's better competition than their ACC counterparts in the state and the atmosphere is at least on par with Duke and WF.

Going into App. State for a game is not something to do lightly. They have a very good argument for being the best program in the state of North Carolina.

As for Arkansas and Arkansas State... we just had our worst season of football ever. We aren't going to score to high on these lists folks. If that surprises you then y'all need to lay off smoking the wacky weed for a little bit.

No, This century Utah has gone 14-4 vs BYU.

Whittingham took over from Meyer in '04, he has already won 11 bowl games there.

Well that's certainly a bold take.
I do think the rest of the SEC is lucky that there isn't one major program in MS instead of two.

Mississippi State does not have a winning record against either Ole Miss or Southern Mississippi. Can't be them there.

Yeah I never really got why some made fun of them when they joined the SEC either. I mean, they averaged 10 wins in the five years prior to joining the SEC.

They may not have the fan support and facilities of most SEC teams but I kept seeing Arkansas fans act like they were beneath us yet they've kicked our arse the majority of the time and we've sucked the past 6 years.
