Currently in last place in the division.

Who is on the Hogs short list or are they okay with this record? Probably can go ahead add at least 2 more conference losses this year.

I was listening to Arkansas sports radio to see if a host or anyone would rip him for his record. But nope the host just said Bert can do whatever he wants the fans love him and he's doing his best. No one up there is even remotely upset at him losing. He's just completely brain washed the media & fans up there.

They don't sound too happy with him over on the Arky board.

It will be interesting by seasons end. his claim for job safety was the upward trend and it's not looking so good from this point They have a brutal second half on their schedule, they will be lucky to get 2 more wins.

He wont get fired unless they simply dont play any games close and get stomped.

It's BRET, he is fat, and the Arkie fans think he is great because he finished strong in season 3 beating Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU. He has improved yearly from 3-9, 7-6, 8-5 and who knows about this season. He is 4-2, but the losses were to Bama and TAMU. Has Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, LSU, MSU, Mizzou left on the schedule. 7-5 is probable realistic and Arkie fans are happy with 7 wins.

so, that sums it up. As long as they win the boot bowl, Bert stays head coach.

Bert seems to have built up some leeway with the fan base due to a few upsets coupled with his soundbites in the media.

It will be interesting to see how far that can carry him, pun intended.

How is Malzahn's job security looking? Y'all have turned it around a little but also have a tough second half. What record would it take for him to get canned?

I am interested to see at what point his seat gets hot. They really should have been legit last year but kind of fumbled out of the gate and this year is more transitional. I don't think Bert is a bad coach but it seems like a lot of Arky fans think he's the absolute best they could do and have kind of put a ceiling on their program. They underrate themselves IMO

He likely isn't getting canned this season due to buyout and the number of big jobs likely to be open. 6-6 might still get him fired, but 7-5 likely gets Lashlee replaced and buys gus another year.

Malzahn is not getting fired this year, we have at least 2 more wins on the schedule. Next year if he cant get above 6 wins(assuming he only gets 6 this year) he will be gone

He beat Tennessee last year so they'll keep him for 15 more years for that win alone

Bert doesn't have any bad losses yet this year. If he can get to 7-5, I doubt arky fans get too upset. Losses to Mizzou or MSU might get his seat a little warm.

That would get you fired from Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

I think they split those four and finish 8-4. If he goes 0-4 somehow then things could get interesting. I don't see that happening though
