Centrally located, Birmingham area is nice. Easy to get to, only two turns from the interstate.

Someone let the Georgiadome & Benz Stadium know that they can't host the title game because its not centrally located. I guess that means Legion Field it is. Sure its a dump, but its centrally located, large enough, and has plenty of parking.

A rotation between Birmingham, Nashville, and Gwinnett could work. One thing that helps now is that no one is using the Hoover Met right now where there are teams playing in each of those minor league parks.

The Pacific Coast League routinely schedules the Sounds on 8-12 game road trips. Wouldn’t be a problem having them on the road to play the tournament in Nashville. Just a little pre-planning and schedule the soccer team that uses the stadium for a handful of matches to be away.

You know, they are about to build a casino next to Smokies park in Sevierville Tn. It is right next to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, etc. May is a great time to vacation there. Just sayin.

Baseball in Asheville in the summer is tremendous. The facility is not necessary the best but you can’t beat the weather and the scenery. My buddies and I would go there a many a summer - especially on Thursday night 25cent beer nights.

It’s really nice. A miniature Fenway. I could see traffic being a problem those couple days.

I think it’s the oldest active minor league park in the country. I’ve been there a couple times.

Yeah I didn't mean it would be impossible, just having a vacant stadium that is centrally located with lots of parking makes things stupid easy.

Autozone Park is the best baseball stadium in the south. Would be the ultimate setting.

I agree 1,000,000%. Even if the tourney has to remain in the Birmingham area, shouldn't it be held at the nicest ballpark in the Birmingham area? Makes no sense.

As someone who lives in downtown Bham, I'm okay with keeping it in Hoover because I really don't want to have to deal with that many out of towners who don't know the city trying to find parking for Regions.

I can just imagine all the country bumpkins from middle of nowhere Mississippi and coonasses from the swamps of Louisiana turning the wrong way down a one-way street, or attempting to parallel park

Don't worry. Sorry about your having to live in public housing and I promise we will stay away from your public transportation to and from the soup kitchen.

You guys like the Louisville Park?

Slugger Field? The minor leauge park not the University of Louisville baseball field which is also sponsored by Louisville Slugger. It's nice but a little small. Parking is also sparse so when the teams good it's hard to get a seat. My dad was in management at Louisville Slugger so I spent many a night in the Slugger suite watching the bats. Not a bad seat in the house though.

You just proved my point. I don't need 10,000 of you dumb motherfrickers that don't know shite about Birmingham and have probably never even been here, besides passing through on the interstate, fricking up traffic worse than it already is just because you don't know how to drive or park in a city

At least I am not on craigslist looking for roommates to be able to afford it.

By the way, farming pays much better than cock guzzling, next time you come up for air check it out.

You seem mighty sensitive about farm life. It's not like I said anything about your girlfriend, Bessie the cow
