The SEC owns or has full rights to the park in Hoover, not moving...

It should always be held in Hoover

The whole tournament is broken.

Bad location
Bad ballpark
Bad bracket

The SEC gets most things right and does most things better than everyone else. This is not one of those things.

All of those things are subjective. You fail

Hoover is perfect for a tournament setting. Sure it’s an older ballpark, but logistically it’s an ideal setup and location. It would be a nightmare for a 10:30 weekday game in a downtown park where often local businesses have rights to parking lots until after hours. Not to mention the RV parking (or lack of).

The crowds at a baseball tournament are different than a say, a football championship crowd. More families, kids, older folks. They want accessibility and comfort. Not a strip of bars across the street

The bracket is stupid, but that’s a separate issue entirely

The Big 12 baseball tourney was worlds better in terms of venue and format, which sad because Big 12 baseball isn’t in the same stratosphere as SEC baseball

Downtowns of major cities host afternoon MLB playoff games every year but you think they aren’t capable of hosting the SEC baseball tournament? Get real

Pensacola Blue Wahoos ballpark

...and it's only 22 miles to Sandestin Resort so Stankey can't whine about the logistics of getting everyone from Hoover to the meetings right after the SECBBT. they'll already be there.

take your boat to the game - tailgate on it too. sorry no RV parking or airboats allowed.

it's smaller ~5K and has an amphitheater on the 32 acre community park where it sits, but the Pensacola CoC would welcome us all without a blinking an eye.

There is no shortage of gorgeous Minor League ballparks across the South. Frankly it makes sense to rotate through some of those places, if only to give the fans new places to see and enjoy.

Yes, Kentucky’s new crib can accommodate over 7000 with temp seating, bern, etc. The permanent seating is around 3500

I feel like a lot of people complaining about Hoover haven’t actually been. Nothing wrong with It and it’s centrally located.

Has Hoover ever gotten a MSU hat correct?

Most people don't live in a trailer park.

I don’t understand why catering to RV parking should be the top priority every year as far as venue. Because that is the only plus of the current location vs other options. At least rotate it between Hoover and other venues.

Because for some strange reason, retirees love baseball tournaments. And thousands of them take their rv’s for the entire week to watch baseball. They make up a large percentage of the attendees each year. They don’t care about the newest field or that some park has a brewery next door, or a splash pad for the kids. They want to park their rv and watch baseball 200 ft away.

Hoover works for them. It’s a well run tournament. Maybe not the sexiest venue. But it works
