With baseball season less than a month away what are you looking most forward to seeing with your team? I’ll start with saying I'm looking forward to seeing LSU’s pitching staff led by veteran Thatcher Hurd and also newcomers like Cam Johnson.

It will be fun watching Dakota Jordan and hunter Hines mash baseballs but who knows how our pitching staff will be. That’s what has killed us the last two years.

It’s depressing watching what has happened to our program since winning the natty.

I feel good about the offense with a nice mix of returning players, transfers, and freshmen. We have plenty of depth too. It might take a few weeks to settle on the starting 9 and lineup.

But what worries me is what has been our achilles heel the last 2 seasons, pitching. I like the influx of new arms, especially if Montgomery can be a 2-way player, but development has been lacking. We have gotten by with matchups, volume, and a little bit of witchcraft. I need some horses and consistency.

I would say the same thing if my team was irrelevant and our best pitcher transferred to a team that actually has a chance of making yet another natty run. Don’t forget to kiss your cousin before you leave for work

Went to the Supers last year and ranked in the top 20 in the preseason. Probably not gonna win a national title, but pretty far from irrelevant.

Losing Holman sucks, but our staff is loaded. Biggest question marks are replacing Shelton, Seidl, Pinckney and Williamson with young kids and transfers Vaughn brought in. Pretty excited to watch them this year.

I want to see if our stacked pitching staff stays healthy and can live up to hype. Also excited to see some of the transfers in the lineup and who can mash. Seeing Stovall have a strong year would be cool.

Exact same for Auburn. The draft really kneecapped us at SS. Had two HS kids committed who got taken really early so we snagged a good juco guy and then he got taken in the 10th.

I want to see if our starting pitching is better and if we can do a better job of scoring with runners in scoring position.

I'm looking forward to games against Arkansas, LSU, and Texas the most. It should be a fun season.

I'm cautiously excited for improved pitching. A&M will be dangerous if the pitching comes around. Offense is going to mash

Will be interesting to see if freshman Liam Peterson can nail down the Saturday starting role on the pitching staff. Also curious to see if (Bama) transfer Shelton and handle shortstop and not lose anything at the plate. Cags won't get anything to hit (like Langford and Crews last year) so hopefully he doesn't start chasing and just takes his walks. Outfield should be stacked, so that needs to get worked out along with the bullpen. Neely will close, so that is a plus to have him back.

READY TO PLAY BALL!!

Patty-cake football and shooty hoops are dumb sports anyway.

Stovall is my nephew and I’m still rooting for the Tigers to repeat (rooting for Stovall when boy playing LSU)
