Am I the only one who read this from the top down without first looking at the numbers? I was very confused for a second.

He also had a much superior supporting cast.

How is this even quantifiable?

By the way, Wake Forest was like 44th in sacks allowed while A&M was around 107.

Do tell. What makes Newman better in your clearly biased opinion?

Seriously?

1. Using recruiting rankings
2. Using 247 roster rankings
or
3. Using the 2020 and 2021 draft

Ok? Talent aside, dude still threw a pick every 32 pass attempts.

Costello is very talented and is playing in a system that will let him put up insane numbers, so I have no issue with him being 1.

Trask should be 2, he doesn’t make many mistakes and I honestly like what he brings to the table.

Mond is way too high, Franks should also be lower too.

Brennan and Hilinski are too low imo also

Eh, all of these lists had Burrow ranked middle of the pack so it doesnt bother me much.

Burrow had Joe Brady though.

He played with Texas Aggie talent against the sec.
Newman played with wake forest talent against the acc.

That’s a net supporting talent advantage for mond.

Not sure how they came to this conclusion since both had very similiar numbers and Mond faced much superior competition.

Mond put up numbers with one of the most talented rosters in the country. Newman put up the same numbers with Wake Forest talent

Wouldn't surprise me if hes passed up rather quickly. Pretty high on Bazelak once hes healed up.

Now do who Mond played against vs. who Newman played against.

Maybe not, but do you think Brady had no impact of Burrow's development?

If not, what happened to Burrow after the 2018 season to transform him into the runaway 2019 Heisman winner?

And Mond played 5 of the top 15 teams in the final CFP poll while Newman faced 1 (and played like shite) and still Mond averaged a pick every 46 pass attempts while Newman averaged a pick every 32 pass attempts.

Yet there was a “net supporting talent advantage for mind”.

I'm sure he did, it wasnt solely him though.

Several things.

1.LSU changed their offense during the offseason, this decision was made after the 2018 Bama loss.

2. Burrow had an actual offseason with his coaches and receivers.

3. LSU's receivers clearly got better, much of that was due to Brady.

How does having better receivers make up for throwing a pick every 32 pass attempts?
