If you aren’t adjusting net YPP for schedule I just don’t think it’s that meaningful.

Anyone can club bad teams for huge chunk plays and skew that stat massively.

Comparing non adjusted data isn’t worth anyone’s time.

My concern is that our DC will let UT score 14 on their first two drives before we make ANY adjustments

Are you saying that Bama is going to steal Tim Banks away before the game? Because that's about the Tim Banks-iest thing that a DC can do.

Mizzou is a total joke of a program and your coach is about to upgrade by leaving your sorry stepping stone of a program to join a real CFB program somewhere else most likely Penn State.

You think? You must not have been paying attention since we improved the SEC with our membership. Since Mizzou joined our beloved conference..Tennessee has been our bitch. .

RECORD:
Mizzou: 96 - 68
Tenn: 81 - 64

Mizzou has appeared in 9 Bowl Games
Cotton: 2 times
Citrus
Music City 2 times
Texas
Liberty
Gaspirilla
Armed Forces

Tennessee has appeared in 6 Bowl Games
Taxslayer
Outback
Music City 2 times
Gator
Orange

So you and the rest of the blind old timers best accept the fact that our program is now better than many of the old SEC programs. Times have changed and the old SEC is dead.

I don’t think it’s a great matchup for us. We’re going to need to play our best game to win.

Should be a good one. I don't think anyone in the country has played Bama tougher over the last 4 years (Since Heupel became HC) than Tennessee.

2-2 over the last 4 with some thrillers mixed in

Damn brother. Take your insecurity to another thread. You're 1-4 in the last 5 games against Tennessee with 2 of those losses coming to Jeremy Pruitt. I could care less about the vacated wins. Go scream at the wall in a thread about Missouri instead of Tennessee & Alabama.

We just came off our worst 15 year stretch in our program history because of a mentally retarded AD who picked the worst 4 hires we've ever had back to back to back.

So cool story. Tennessee has a competent AD once again and is always a destination school not a stepping stone.

Why do you think Tony V and Heupel haven't been snatched up yet?

Our AD is willing to provide them with all the necessary resources that it takes to win. Barnes is also considered a top flight coach.

Tennessee's downward spiral began before Missouri came into the conference.

Tennessee went to 25 Bowl Games in the 27 seasons between 1981 and 2007 (missing 1988 and 2005). Between 2008 and 2020 (13 seasons), they went to 6 Bowl Games (missing 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2020). Since 2021, UT has been to 4 straight Bowl Games (technically 3 straight and 1 Playoff Game, since they are not officially counted as bowl games).

By comparison...in those same ranges. Between 1981 and 2007, Missouri went to 8 Bowl Games in 27 seasons (missing 1982, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004). Between 2008 and 2020, they went to 9 Bowl Games in 13 seasons (missing 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019). Since 2021, Missouri has been to 5 straight Bowl Games.

It was the regression of Fulmer and the bad hires of Dooley, Jones and Pruitt, that really were an issue for UT.

Tennessee actually went on streaks of consecutive bowl seasons of 10 seasons (1965 - 1974), 7 seasons (1981 - 1987), 16 seasons (1989 - 2005). Their current streak is 4 straight. So, Tennessee only needs 12 more consecutive to tie their longest streak, ever.

Missouri has been on streaks of consecutive bowl seasons of 4 seasons 1987 - 1981), 7 seasons (2005 - 2011). Their current streak is 5 straight. So Missouri only needs 2 more consecutive to tie their longest streak, ever.

The defense is selling-out (aka: sending the house) a ton. Anybody got a blitz % for the defense?

Damn brother...just responding to the ignorant assertions by Vol fans that are completely delusional and out of touch with modern day football.

Actually so is ours...

I'm not interested in what happened in 1970....only care about last year, this year, and moving forward. My comments are in context with joining the SEC.

My biggest concern is you are predicting Alabama to win by a couple scores.

That is very troubling because you are consistently wrong with your predictions.

Seems about right, Tennessee better be prepared because the gumps seem to be firing on all cylinders.

It's interesting. I don't think I've ever seen an OC praised as much as Grubb for an offense as statistically bad as Alabama's has been two of the past three weeks. If the offense doesn't improve, likely a close game.

Their last three games have all been against top 20 ranked teams. The offense has gained 484, 397, and 325 yards in those three games. That is an average of just over 400 yards per game. Against good teams, not creampuffs. That will win a team a lot of games.

Yes, extremely high. I see this game going down to the wire, just like the last one in Missouri.

Pts Per Drive : #6 (#2 SEC) (Vandy #1)

Available Yards Gained : #4 (#2 SEC) (Vandy #1)

% Drives ending in a TD or FG Attempt : #2 (#1 SEC)

Throw in the following drives in the 4th quarter

- got the ball back vs Georgia up 3 with 3:19 left and Georgia having all 3 timeouts. Iced the game. Kneed to end it. Georgia never got the ball back.

- got the ball back vs Vanderbilt up 6 with 12:20 left. Went on a 16 play, 8:30 minute drive that ended with a field goal and made it a 2 score game with 4 minutes left

- got the ball back vs Missouri up 3 with 7 minutes left. Went on a 8 play, 40 yard drive to score a TD and go up 10 pts with 3:15 left.

All 3 of those games had elite play calls at crucial moments to seal or greatly increase the chances of winning a game.
