ABC/ESPN finally caved to all of the complaints from other SEC schools about LSU night games.

I’d prefer a night game but 2:30 doesn’t bother me.

Good with 230. Should be dark in the second half and night time in the 4th. Fans will be plenty drunk. We have success at 230 in Baton Rouge in big matchups.

It was done for ratings because of ND/Miami. They sacrificed Ole Miss/UGA ratings instead.

Hot take: Tiger Stadium is a better environment for 2:30 kicks. The sun sets around the 4th quarter and really ramps up the atmosphere.

Maybe im getting old, but I prefer a 2:30 kick honestly.

I think everyone prefers a 230 kick all around if we are being honest

not like night has really helped us in this match up.

I welcome 2:30 this year.

Just messing around. Was hoping for the 2:30 honestly. It is my favorite timeslot. Great slate of games in 2 weeks. The sec may end up with atleast 5 9-3 teams by seasons end. Pretty wild.

Oh look a Ole Miss Fan in a LSU thread, taking shots at LSU over something that has nothing to do with Ole Miss.....Obsess much?

Georgia/ole Miss the more marque game outside of the LSU and Alabama fan bases

The rest of the SEC would really cry if LSU got night games for three weeks in a row...Bama, Texas, @ Tenn so they had to put the Gump game at 2:30. Plus they wanted the country to be watching the game and everyone will be more interested in the LSU/Bama game than OM/UGA.

LSU / Bama, if they played at the same time as that game, would have significantly higher ratings IMO.

It's been a huge matchup and ratings driver for 20 years and both teams are vying for a playoff spot. This game, while not a true rivalry, gets treated as one and gets national eyeballs every year and this year has a lot riding on it.

ESPN choosing to put it at 2:30 tells me they agree with that.

There will be at least one less voodoo point awarded to LSU because of this decision. I hope we are tied before it's taken off by JoBoo.

I'm good with it. Just don't like 11am games. That's too damn early
