^^^ Again, we are giving weight to an article that said this.
If you actually read the full article I posted by Dennis Dodd, he cites way more than the Godfrey piece by going into the Ricky Seals-Jones story which has nothing to do with Ole Miss or Godfrey.
We don't know how widespread this is. But it's not that far fetched to say it's happening. There just aren't a lot of people talking on the record or getting caught, let alone punished by the NCAA. But you know damn well there is an underground marketplace in college athletics.
But sure.. let's get all hung up on whether it was $60k or $650k or $10k like the numbers really matter.

I don't doubt that of course, but Leo Lewis I doubt and him mom and a former Ole Miss assistant trying to deflect what they had going on. What was Leo even ranked? I don't remember him being some highly sought prospect.

1. She definitely said 650.
2. Either she's insanely stupid or lying.

7:15 pm central. You got around 14 hours to bark at the moon. And then the 8.2 quake hits the Grove.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Sounds fake based on voice analysis.

Leo was actually very highly recruited. He wasn’t some scrub. Not worth $60K, but he was considered one of the best linebackers that year. I think we’re pretty screwed and normally I would say just take the punishment for what we did, but to have your rival involved and a person like Leo Lewis being the nail in the coffin, you have to fight that. State admits to offering cam, gets outbid and then rats on auburn and gets off clean. If the whole Leo Lewis thing hasn’t happened I think we would have fought the accusations but accepted whatever happened. I don’t like the idea of us getting anyone else in trouble, but with State trying to get auburn and then us, have no problem with that. As much as I hate LSU, wouldn’t want them to get caught up in this cause again, everyone cheats, it’s just an unwritten rule not to tell on each other.

Just don't care, and it's not a recording of either school making an offer. People say dumb crap to impress their friends all the time.

I've never been so happy that a 5 Star decommitted from Bama.

I'm with you there.
That's why it's so hard to expose any of this stuff. Rarely are the people involved angels.

Just a heads up. Audio can be analyzed. Pretty sure a federal crime if its fake.
Would hate to see rebcuprebelion and the guy posting it be caught.

If it was fake I’d imagine Thomas mars would have released a statement on behalf of his new client Leo Lewis by now

In Florida it's a felony if you record a conversation without consent from both parties. That's why I can't believe this stuff.
Is it different in Mississippi?

it can be recorded from my understanding, but I saw where someone said it could only be used in court cases. Recording a phone call seems like it would require a warrant but MS is a facked up state. They don't give a F about their residents

Since it is less than 3 hours old.... no.
But it is a crime.

If my memory is correct, in Mississippi either party can record a phone call.
Recording a call one is not a party to is illegal except for law enforcement and
then only with a court order. Every State has their own take on parties recording
phone calls.
