The boosters pay for everything though (not just athletics) - new $100M football only facility, they paid for the athletic recruiting center, new graduate business school bldg, new culinary school center (incl hotel, restaurants, bars, a brewery and a food hall), etc. We need them now more than ever because of NIL.
Actually, when the boosters get their way, we tend to win more football games. Maybe the billionaires know more about this stuff than we want to admit. We should not fight them - that’s how the mess started in the first place. We have a new president now and he is extremely well connected…

I’m think it’s actually only 2-3. But I don’t really know

This describes every power 5 school. Boosters raise and donate which is why they're called boosters but the boosters at most other schools don't try to control the program like ours do.

Since all of you know so much about the situation at Auburn... tell us...who is the BOT, boosters meddling at Auburn right now.
Holtz, Hatfield, Crowe, Kines, Ford, Nutt, Petrino, Smith, Bielema. Quite a list of winners you got there sport!
Jordan, Barfield, Dye, Bowden, Tubbs, Malzahn.
Other than Barfield, every other coach has competed and won conference championships and played for Natty's and that includes recruiting against the other two.
This will be Aubie's most critical hire since Pat Dye and he will get it right.

every major program has problems with boosters somewhere
This is true, but Auburn is in a league of its own.
Many don't remember this, but Kirby Smart interviewed to replace Chizik in 2013. Saban advised him to demand full control of the football program (same as the contingency Saban demanded to come to Bama in 2007). IOW, Boosters are OUT. This would include meddling by PD.
Auburn wasn't willing to take this step. The rest is history.

Name your last Natty's and SEC Championship Pig?

Auburn reminds me of a Baptist church where, as soon as a new pastor is hired, a large portion of the congregation wants to get rid of him before he has preached a single sermon. Whenever a new coach arrives on the Plains, there's already movers and shakers at Auburn looking to replace him before he's coached a game.

I am old enough to remember that and so much more. You are wrong.

I mean we could be like…. some other programs…. And if we were we would also claim 1983, 1993, and 2004.
This other certain team “claims” a championship when they had multiple losses while other major programs went undefeated and are actually recognized as champions.
But since that’s OT I’ll just leave it at that.

Also I guess we can just ignore the fact we made it to another and would of had won another championship had Gus not taken his foot off the gas up 21-3 vs FSU.

Auburn has had a total of 8 coaches SINCE 1951…

We don’t have any more than any other SEC school. Ours is just famous due to commercials.

Interesting reference to Pat Dye you’ve got there. It’s wrong and you’re uninformed. Pat Dye was the one pushing for Kirby Smart. You have literally no idea what you’re talking about.
