It seems like a dumb contract number, but this is where the market is moving. You can save 4 million a year and hire Jeff Grimes and then buy him out and do this again in 3 years or you can spend the extra 4 million a year and try to get a guy that has a much higher chance of succeeding. It is a risk, but if the boosters are going to put the money up…
Plain and simple, money is just not an issue for Auburn.

I'm not gonna lie I like this option if the boosters would put the difference into NIL.

I really want to keep Kiffin but damn, it someone is willing to give him 10 years and that kind of money I wish him the best. When you pay someone that kind of money it's to make a serious run at a championship on a yearly basis or it's a bust. If you're Auburn and you get Kiffin, do you really think he beats Bama or UGA more than 20-25% of the time?
