Cause you know what God does.

The hypocracy of this thread is huge. Posters here saying God is not on AU's side is as dumb as Chizik saying he is.

I get what you're doing here but you have to admit it's a little narcissistic to think God chose your side and just decided to shite on the rest of the world. Keep in mind, it is still just football. If my God it taking the time to worry about useless shite like that instead of saving the 9 year old girl that got shot by that psychopath then I'm giving up on my faith.

^^This -

And then for Cam to say he was "an instrument of God", is ridiculous when using that statement in the context of playing football.

Yeah, that "I'm an instrument of God" thing set my teeth on edge.

Because if Cam is God's chosen instrument, I'm afraid God is a bad judge of character.

Fairley and Smith especially showed this on the field.

God is more than capable of handling both. There is no 'time' for Him. God allows things, he allowed Auburn to win, he allowed that little girl to die. He intervenes when He needs to change something thats not part of His plan. We're not made to understand that plan. And he might have caused Auburn to win, if it would do better in some way for His kingdom. There are many ways many things can be affected by many other things. God invented the butterfly effect.

Cheezit comes across WORSE than the thinest veiled tv televangelist. Its a disgrace to decency. You don't kick a player in the face and then praise god for being on your side. Shows how willing this program is to do ANYTHING to cover the truth.

The idea that the supreme being in all of the universe is on the side of people like Cam Newton, Nick Fairley, and Eric Smith makes me glad I don't believe in any of that shite.

It is a well known fact that God hates Oregon, and everyone associated with football in that state.

Cam is the best christian ever. Chisik too. Thank God we have good christians in the SEC to represent us. SEC, SEC, SEC, SEC.

The only thing that any team should do or say in relatation to a higher being is to ask him/her/it to keep everyone safe and to allow them to perform to their best to bring glory to him/her/it.

Go ask a returning vet or the parents of the little girl in AZ how much CFB matters.

Well, God needs to throw the fricking blueprints away for his current plan because allowing a slimy arse program/coach like Auburn/Chizik to reap nothing but rewards for being slimy yet letting an innocent little 9 year old die is beyond fricked up.

Thanks. Since I don't belong to any organized religions, I can point out the hypocrisy and inconsistencies at will without fear of being ridiculed by my peers.

Probably true, but there is hypocrisy and inconsistency in you and your actions whether or not your peers know it.

Not a flame.

this here is it.

my question is this - who is more hypocritical? Chiz for saying what he said concerning god and such, or you guys judging him and his saying that - when in actuality you shouldn't be judging him at all, i mean that is if your a good Christian and all.

and no, I do not belong to any denomination - ive attended most all of them, and they have all shown me ways to lose faith in organized religion.

its my opinion anyway.

Certainly. It just happens that my peers aren't religious groups.

I don't think he means that God willed them to win. I think he is saying that God gave them the strength and determination to leave it all on the field, which results in a lot of "W"s.

I know they pray before every game, and they are probably praying for strength, determination, no injuries, etc. Then after a hard-fought game, Chizik says God was with us. You guys are making a huge deal out of nothing, as usual. Actually you are making a big deal out of something that is molding these kids into better people.
