God will not be mock! Using the name of the lord and his ministry is a very cursed thing to do in such matters according to the bible.

"Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"

"Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" is one of the most well-known verses of the Holy Bible, but what many do not realize is that the complete verse is a warning against mockery:

"6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7 KJV)
Those who mock His Gospel are mocking God:

"36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy." (2 Chronicles 36:15-16 KJV)
"17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. 17:5 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished." (Proverbs 17:4-5 KJV)

Those verses don't even make sense relative to this conversation.

Did you just look up the word "mock" in a concordance and copy some random verses?

What is your take on this year's Auburn team and their "its a God thing" mentality

It's one of the more ignorant things of all-time. Saying that the Clemson win was a "God-thing" as absurd as it was to imply that God wanted Auburn to win, it wasn't nearly as ridiculous as saying "God was with us" in an on-field interview with ESPN after Monday's game. How ignorant does Chizik have to be to think God cares about who wins a football game? Much less, that he wanted Auburn to win and by being with Auburn, was clearly against Oregon.

That is not what "God was with us" means.

Did Saban make one off-handed remark about 9/11 or did he base an entire year off of it like Gene has with the God stuff?

Again. Did he make a off-handed remark at a post-game press conference OR did he base a whole season around it by having multiple televised references/signs/recruiting pitches/slogans?

THis is pretty easy to understand.

The Alabama football coach compares losses in football games to the worst terrorist attack and teh worst military attack in US history.

Come on now.

Either you are way dimmer than I gave you credit for or you are being purposefully obtuse.

It is a recruiting tool. Nothing more. The AU recruiting MO has been for years to promote a Christian family atmosphere on the recruiting trail. It works for some parents and others see through the BS as is evident by the recent quotes coming from Lattimore's mother and that Louisiana lineman's grandmother.

Hopefully most of you have heard the Finebaum interview with Tony Franklin where he described the religious atmosphere under Tuberville as suffocating and extremely hypocritical.
