You dont even comprehend what a rivalry is.

If you dont care how Bama does in their other 12+ games in the year, you are missing the point of a rivalry.

Do you pull for Bama when they face UGA? LSU? Tennessee? A&M?

I pull for whatever benefits Auburn. If an Alabama win over LSU gets us closer to winning the West for example or outright gives us the spot, I hope Alabama wins.

Your hate for a rival can't be more than your love for your own team.

As another Auburn poster indicated, Alabama winning in 2017 wouldn't affect the Auburn program as much as Georgia winning would have. That game was going to suck for us no matter who won, but it sucked less with them winning.

I was just thinking it was Auburn who cried to have two straight games at Auburn against Georgia when the schedules were swapped around.

I was thinking it was Auburn who cried to have the Georgia game moved from the traditional date.

I have heard Auburn fans cry that they were not a "state" school, as if that mattered.

I could go on and on. Pot, meet kettle.

Was Auburn entitled to those?

And you are ignorant. Why don't you check out the preseason rankings of Georgia and the final rankings of Georgia for the last 3 years.

Do you do any research before you post, or do you just have a thought and start typing with absolutely no thought at all?

There is plenty of room in the heart for rivalry "hate" for both.

But GA definitely wins at the moment --- maybe because the series has been so lopsided of late.

It reminds me greatly of the UGA/Fla series a few years ago. There is no logical explanation that I know of why we beat Auburn in some of the years. There were years we had the stronger team than Florida and they would beat us, and there are years Auburn has had a stronger team than us and we beat them.

We lost to a couple of bad UGA teams the last decade. They were just inexplicable. Gus finds some way to shite the bed on offense almost every year against you guys somehow.

2006 and 2016 are the only ones I would really consider inexplicable from Auburn's perspective in recent memory.

2014 Georgia was inconsistent, but they were really good when they were on their game, as evidenced by blowing out Clemson and Missouri. Neither team was very good in 2009, 2011, or 2015, and Auburn was dreadful in 2012. Both teams were very good in 2017 and split two meetings. Georgia was better in 2018 and the defense was amazing last year.

We were doing it with Florida. it's freaky. I mean we lost to Treon Harris, for gosh sakes!
It's frustrating when it happens to a rival, so I know it's a frustrating thing for Auburn to go through with us like it was for us against Florida.

2016 is another example, although I think the Auburn QB had a banged up shoulder, so there's that.

The programs are near mirror images of each other. How do you feel about Auburn's program?

I go through periods of love, hate, pride, shame, joy, and weeping considering the AU program on a daily basis during football season.

To be fair, the lack of respect I have for UGA likely has more to do with their fanbase (particularly online) than the actual program.

Living less than 30 minutes from Auburn, I'll say the Georgia fans are the ones that both Alabama and Auburn fans hate the most.

New Jersey has a similar relationship with New York that Alabama has with Georgia. Folks in New Jersey can't quite earn enough money to live in New York and know that New Jersey would be even more backward than it is if it weren't for its physical location in relation to the Empire State. They have a well earned inferiority complex due to their knowledge of their own limitations. Alabama is similar to New Jersey in their relationship with the Empire State of the South. The entire region is in a similar situation but it is especially so of Alabama. South Carolina has a double edged sword as they are a backwater wasteland sandwiched between two very successful and accomplished neighbors. At least Alabama can look to the west and say "we aint mississippi"....

You think folks in Phenix City can't earn enough to live in Columbus? Citizens of Lanett can't find enough scratch to live in West Point? Heflin residents are just dreaming of the day they can movie to Bowdon or Tallapoosa?

Millie Jane in Eufala has been saving up her pennies for years in hopes of eventually moving across the river to Georgetown!

A definite YES on this one!

Haven't been to Lanett in a couple of years but that place is in rough shape...looks like it still hasn't recoverd from whenever they had their heyday.Im assuming
it was when the textile plants closed.

Agree on the bigger point though.

No, like underachievers the world over they will stay where they are and come up with all kinds of excuses why their problems are the result of someone else's actions...
