I think AU can keep it closer than 25.

So Alabama and Auburn are both projected 1 seeds on the date of January 30th so I feel the need to once again post this gif that I will continue posting until this stops feeling weird

This says so much about you. You honestly believe posting memes to this board that a child could create makes you "somebody."

You're a pathetic loser.

He couldn’t hit shots there with whole seasons practice… nothing indicates he will in the future

Oats's system matches up well against what Bruce likes to do, so it isn't a great matchup system wise.

If Bama keeps hitting almost 50% from 3 as a team, going to be a tough team to beat, even with their defensive issues. I see a split of the series, but wouldn't be surprised either if either teams sweeps it in two close games.

Bump

I predict a split uncomfortably with Bama winning first.

Alabama and Auburn are, as of today, comfortably both #1 seeds and based on resume should be the #1 and #2 seed in the entire NCAA Tournament.

One of us has to lose on February 15th and I look forward to tRant telling the losing team that they were pretenders and how bad they suck.

I was watching Field of 68 on X and there consensus best 3 teams was Auburn, Duke, and Bama. They all said that they would pick Auburn or Bama if they had to pick a team to win it all.

Duke may rely too heavily on Flagg. But he's a damn good player.

Not sure about Bama, but Auburn can win with about any combination of our players. We're still really good without Broome.

Flagg can't miss any big games. Duke would be pretty vulnerable.

Oats is trying to replicate the Boston Celtics in the collegiate game. It’s a lot harder to do at the college level for a consistent six game run in the single elimination of the NCAA tournament. But I give him credit. He at least made basketball relevant at Bama. That’s a really difficult thing to do

I'd agree. He's both a great player and kind of the sun that their entire offense revolves around (not to mention a very big part of their defensive scheme with his length and switchability). Without him they'd still be a really solid team, but more like a #3/4 seed than a #1 seed.

Alabama is similar to Auburn in that every night it can be a different guy, starter or bench player. Just a lot of different pieces that have the ability to take over stretches of games.

I think the question isn't whether the regular season will be a split, but whether or not the post season will be a split and which will be the L and the W.

A distinct possibility Bama and Auburn could play 4 times. 3 is a pretty good bet,SEC Tournament will be crazy.
