There's just one problem, though. The Tigers may not trust Franklin to accomplish the most important thing an Auburn coach can accomplish: beating the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl year in and year out.
This is not true. Has Auburn ever fired a coach for being 11-1 or 10-2 with the sole loss to Alabama?

I typically use a pompano rig with live sand fleas (when available). Maybe I need a little more weight in the sinker department.
Would you recommend the sputnik sinkers? I heard they are better for rougher conditions.

long stretch of beach to work with look for anomalies in wave action. That’s usually a break in bar are trough close to beach that will concentrate your prey.
I truly struggle with this. I've watched several videos and cannot "see it" yet. Feels like magic eye artwork all over again (which took me years to finally see).

They feed right where the last wave break is because it exposes sand fleas and other crustaceans.
So for this, are casting it in front of the break (like nearer to the shoreline) or are you casting it beyond the break and reeling it in a little ways? Maybe I need to use heavier sinker. I've noticed the waves churning my line with a 2 oz pyramid.

Those are good eating. I'll keep that in mind for the next big rain shower.

Surf fishing - understanding the surf forecast
Posted by Turbotoes on 8/19/25 at 3:51 pm
I'm pretty much a total newbie to surf fishing. It seems logical that the surf forecast would help predict the better/worse days to be at the shoreline.
Wind direction?
Swell height?
Wave interval?
All this without mentioning the ever changing tides or attempting to read the shoreline. Where does one begin to learn? (NE FL)

Just getting started this summer. It is a lot of fun and certainly takes a lot of knowledge and skill. I use sand fleas that i catch and occasionallysome cut bait. So far, I've caught several whiting and sheepshead for the kitchen. I've also caught several cat, blue runners (I THINK) and ladyfish.

I bought a couple corks at walmart. I'm a total novice. Didn't realize i needed all the beads too. The cork itself rattles. Would a couple split shot sinkers at the bottom of the cork be enough to try it out? Is it always necessary to have plastic beads rigged at the top and heavy beads at the bottom?

The old man is pushing 80. Would he benefit from a small dose? Is there a certain amount of protein intake required to make it effective (more effective).

Barb,
They print money and debase the currency and since it takes more dollars to buy the same amount of goods, they call that a capital gain and then tax you on it. It's criminal.

re: Ratings for AU-Bama basketball released and football is still king

Lots of folks don't get the ESPN family due to costs, but still get ABC. Basketball will never outdraw football. The fact that Sankey signed a deal where ESPN controls the conference while the BigTen laps up money from the major networks will hamper the SEC long term. Sankey =SEC sinkey

So weak! I think most fans are looking forward to 4 epic matchups. It will elevate the rivalry! Everyone wants hardware. Might as well get as much as you can. When's the last time arky got some SEC hardware?
All part of building an economic moat
I think the question isn't whether the regular season will be a split, but whether or not the post season will be a split and which will be the L and the W.

Propaganda man.
Dems were actively registering new voters after the General. We later find that tallied ballots were missing and had disappeared. It was a giant power grab and cover up. The entire power of US Senate came down to a few precincts. The GA GOP was either grossly incompetent or....
