Except for 2017, Texas has performed well in the 2016-2020 classes which is the time frame for what Texas fielded last year. So I really don't think that recruiting has been the issue with Texas. I mean just looking at 247, OU appears to do a lot more with little less. OU is who will get a minor boost to recruiting.
Any gains that Texas makes are going to be coming from finally having a competent coach.

Harold Perkins and Brenen Thompson are skipping Austin but will be in College Station this weekend. Didn't take long for all that recruiting momentum to evaporate.

If they played last season A&M would have won by 14 or more. But this season and beyond? Who knows. UT had good recruiting classes under Herman so it’s not like Sark is getting an empty roster.

Yup. I even saw one of A&M starters tweeting insecurity about not being scared. It actually went exactly like a poster here. It was just a laundry list of irrelevant shite A&M did last season while not making the playoffs or winning the conference.
