Not that I think she would win in civil court (barring some new evidence) but now that the school has got so much negative press they might want to quietly "make it right".
Eh, her case would get dismissed for lack of standing very quickly. This isn’t one of those situations where exposure to discovery would entice LSU to pay her off. They wouldn’t even get that f
I guarantee you that you are completely wrong.

I love it. The retards never learn.
And this is quite a delightful little shithole y'all have created down on the bayou. Are L1U fans not ready to admit their coach is just a plain idiot yet?

Modern forensic techniques could have recovered the data on that tape. Wonder what happened to it.

It was on a cell phone I believe

What evidence do you believe the prosecution would have to hand over in discovery to make LSU feel that they need to pay her?
That man is a practicing attorney. He's been right about everything I can remember him saying on here regarding legal matters.

Ah, misunderstood. But those can be recovered as well.

Worked out fine with Joe Brady

would be a terrible look for him if he denies to show up
I’m not piling on but the longer this goes on I feel like the best thing to do would be to rip the bandaid off let the chips fall where they may, then move on and begin the rebuild process.

She says she dropped it in a pot of red beans, so it sounds like her assumption is that the conversation can't be recovered. Maybe if she still has the phone the conversation could be retrieved from it. The feeling I got was she either no longer has it and/or it's been destroyed.

proof and evidence matter.
We're talking about the NCAA here. I don't there is a legal threshold to be met. If the NCAA believes it then it is proof to them.

Maybe the state's investigation committee can/will subpoena LSU phone records.

That's the only thing I can think of which is why I asked. I thought maybe he was thinking of something else. Even if they do though, she has already said that she refused to let Guice apologize to her. So, by her own admission, LSU reached out to her to try to reach some sort of closure with it then. What would be the reason for LSU to have to pay her off now? Even if she were to drop her case, we've now moved oast that into whether or not Orgeron lied about his involvement.

I was referring more to the state investigation trying to determine if Orgeron/LSU lied about the alledged phone convo, rather than any potential financial settlement.
Coverup attempts usually end up falling apart, causing more damage than biting the bullet and dealing properly with problem players or staff would've caused.

WBRZ now reporting they have Woodward and Segar on the schedule for next week. Coach O on the schedule but no confirmation that any of these folks will actually show up.

Verge Ausberry was asked to attend but is out of town, according to an agenda item released Friday. Ausberry was suspended amid the aftermath of the outside investigation into LSU's Title IX policies.
Miriam Segar, who was also suspended amid the Title IX investigation, has also been called to testify.
Also scheduled are Scott Woodward, representatives from the board of supervisors and LSU human resources officials.
The hearing is set for April 8 at 10 a.m. See the agenda here.
Thursday, WBRZ reported lawmakers asked that Coach Ed Orgeron testify at the state capitol amid a back-and-forth over whether he spoke directly to a 74-year-old who accused former football star Derrius Guice of harassment in 2017.

Curious to see what Woodward is going to say here. He didn't come to LSU until 2019.

Here is one thing I don't understand.
She says she dropped the phone in the red beans that she used to record the conversations. I am assuming it was a cell phone.
Her cell phone bill should have a detailed log of calls both in and out. Find that bill.

Which LSU denies ever happened.
I think it will be most interesting if Segar actually testifies. Sharon Lewis is who they really need to ask. She seems like she would happily talk but then again she probably wants to keep her job.
Ms. Scott claimed Lewis was in the middle of it all the day that Coach O called.
