Why would he do that, in light of the current shite storm LSU’s got on the sexual misconduct radar?

Because so far, he hasn't been implicated in all that.

If he knew about the security guard, then it seems like he's lumped in with all the others even if he never knew about any of that.

Thus, that could be seen as "handling it correctly."

Not given the context of there being multiple allegations against Guice.

At the time? That’s debatable.
If it came out he said that now he would possibly be fired IMO.

The potential lying does put him in a much worse position though, I agree.

You’re being intentionally dense again. This incident would be relatively minor if weren’t in the context of LSU mishandling allegations against athletes. This incident explicitly implicates O in the mess.

I agree, we're looking at it thru the prism of Guice having all types of issues, however, its possible O didn't know about any of that based on the evidence so far.

Its very possible O "handled" it and is now lying because it looks a lot worse now based on everything else that has happened.

He doesn’t need to go to that hearing, all that Committee of women want to do is try to corner him into admitting that he wasn’t tough enough on Guice. Once that happens, you have a culture problem at the head of LSU football.

They want to find out if he lied to the investigation firm about talking to the old lady.

No chance he does this. LSU Admin will ensure it

This is very true, but I don’t think it’s relevant.
This story being true casts doubt on O’s “I thought Guice sleeping with your girlfriend was consensual” narrative.

That is probably enough to terminate with cause.

Same thing happened with Freeze.
The hookers casted doubt on the “good Christian man” narrative that was internally used to clear Freeze against the allegations of sexually harassing high school girls. Those allegations have never been proven, but Freeze’s hooker calls made his side of the story more difficult to believe - enough to trigger a threshold that has kept him out of the SEC.

That's what I'm saying, the other poster asked why he'd lie about it and that's really the only reason.

It doesn't really matter if he handled it appropriately or not based on what he knew in the court of public opinion.

It is hard to imagine O lying though, he's almost honest to a fault most of the time.

Who knows though.

multiple cases of sexual misconduct that has been swept under the rug for years, and you don't think there is already a culture problem?

exactly what I thought. You can't cite an example of evidence that Orgeron didn't know about it.

Its widely assumed that these types of things (just like paying players) happens everywhere.

The light just started shining very brightly on LSU once Guice started having his issues.

Can you provide an example of what would be considered acceptable evidence that he didn't know?

He says he didnt. That's evidence.

But again, no one can prove a negative.

This whole story has long tentacles. It followed the former football coach and AD to Kansas, the former school President to Oregon State. All three lost their jobs.
Stands to reason heads will roll in Redstick, its the who that will be interesting to find out.

Because both Les and F. King were directly involved and Jeff Long hired Les knowing about it.

I'd assume both administrators who were suspended will ultimately get the axe.

ETA separate case from this discussion though

This happened in 2017. Miles wasn't the coach in 2017.

Are you truly that clueless? Anybody can make a claim but evidence requires a burden of proof.

The boyfriend of one of the girls that was raped says Orgeron told him all girlfriends sleep around. The 74 year old lady says she personally told Orgeron about the sexual harassment. First Orgeron said he never talked to her and now he says he doesn't remember. So what happened to the "evidence" of his claim he never talked to her?
