Manziel attorney Jim Darnell says he expects Manziel to play against Rice, anticipates NCAA resolution before season starts.

The NCAA has stopped selling players jerseys as of a couple of days ago due to the Manziel situation. Jay Bilas exposed this.

NCAA is granting a one year amnesty for all players that accepted money for signatures.

the ncaa is owned by the member institution right? So that puts TAMU as a part owner. I am pretty sure member president make up the governing board of the NCAA and Emmeret reports to this board. So basically you are saying eff yourself.

I really hate that Texas A&M could not follow the example Bear set for yall by running a clean program. I am sure he is sad to see such rampant cheating going on at a former school. Kinda like how Pat Dye went rogue after learning under Bears guidance. I guess we were just lucky a clean coach came to a place that demanded wins without any funny business going on.

1. I hope Manziel plays all year. I loved watching him play all year, except for one game.

2. I think he absolutely profited some how from some of his autographs...I don't care. It is not like he was taking deer antler juice or anything.

3. I think the NCAA is looking for any way they can to not have to touch this until after the season...just my own uneducated opinion.

4. I think Manziel is a partier. Today's social media exposes this when in the past people would just talk about who they saw out partying. He has been a bit naïve in not protecting his image a little better. But I have said many times I am very thankful this technology did not exist when I was in high school and college because I would be posting some very embarrassing things.

5. I think Manziel is a spoiled brat. Who cares. I am not telling my son to look at him as a role model. I have also told my son I think AJ is an arrogant idiot. Just my opinion. I was hoping Barret Jones was going to body slam him in the BCS episode.

6. Glad A&M is in the league. I have always pulled for A&M...I guess because of the Bear connection. I will still pull for A&M even if yall cheat and beat us again this year.

Good Luck Aggies and Roll Tide

FWIW - I think all schools have dirtier money than this going into players hands. Even Bamas. Yes, paragraph 1 is completely sarcastic...hope you read this far.

Bear got TAMU on probation.

Bear Bryant

The NCAA did not start handing out probation for rules violations until 1953. Lo and behold, in 1954, Bear Bryant became head coach at Texas A&M University. In 1955 Texas A&M was found guilty of recruiting violations and were put on probation in 1956, including a ban on post season bowls. Not surprisingly, Bryant skipped town in 1957 and headed to Alabama. The rest is, as they say, history.

Cam Newton thing that morphed into ATPB.

Over 2000 pages and was still going strong with multiple pages per day until it was locked down.

I agree. It became obvious to Bear he needed to get somewhere that wanted to win without cheating.
