We can’t sleep on the Mizzou defense. It might be the best we’ve seen this season, next to Auburn.

Our Front 7 is elite, but Auburn's is uber-elite. They made our O-line look like a sieve. Their Front 7 is better than Bama's IMO

Well they do have that coveted indoor track national championship from 1954. Who wouldn’t call that a break through

That's baseball, bitch

Not really.

Lost to Oklahoma by 7
Lost to A&M by 6
Lost to Georgia by 10
Lost to Missouri by 6 in 2OT

They have played the 4th toughest schedule in football. All 4 of their losses came to ranked teams, and only the Georgia loss was by more than 1 score.

They outplayed us and should have won that game. Only difference was that Drink has a team that has refused to lose in the 4th quarter over the past three years. Auburn has had a tough time finishing games. Auburn's Front 7 was the toughest we faced all year--better than Bama's and definitely better than Vandy's.

re: Drink moving on up for LSU

Few days ago Drink was the heavy betting favorite for the Florida job.

Kiffin has always been the fave for Florida, but things may have changed when the LSU job opened up. However, things changed AGAIN days later when the guvna got involved. I can totally see Kiffin to Florida, and I'd be pretty shocked if Drink was in the Top 3 on LSU's wish list. Even if he is (and I'm not convinced that he's a fit for LSU), Mizzou would match any offer to Drink. The only way he leaves is if he wants to go to a blue blood program (ie LSU), where it would be much easier to win a Natty.

Pavia will be running for his life. I’m not sure his receivers will even want to attempt a catch. They’re in for some pain.

Yes, Pavia will be running for his life, but the receivers are in for some pain? From our secondary??

It makes sense because Eli is not represented by Jimmy Sexton and UF needs a foil to have a tiny bit of leverage in negotiations

Actually, Sexton IS Drink's agent. Don't worry--Drink isn't going to Gainesville if they can't land Kiffin--not enough interest on either side. I don't think Drink is going anywhere, and Mizzou will outbid anyone, but Penn St does seem to be a possibility (no jinx).

re: missouri your stadium is a dump!

Serious question why was Missouri not able to get construction completed on their stadium in the offseason. Home field was not needed after November. You’d think that would have been time enough for a renovation.

Good question, and I wondered that myself. Would’ve thought they could have pressured the contractor to have it completed by Sept 2025

None of you guys are a top 4 rival for Mizzou

Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Illinois

In the SEC it’s Arkansas and Oklahoma. I enjoyed playing the 3 bluegrass teams and of course South Carolina but it’s not even close to those top 4 teams I mentioned

It'll always be kU, but besides that vile blood feud, we have to move on from traditional rivals. OU and Arky I can see, but I love our rivalry with USCe. Usually very close games, and something freaky almost always happens.

All depends on your qb. Schedule is favorable.

Our schedule is favorable, but it's not dependent on QB. We'll have an upgrade from Brady Cook--whether it's Pribula or Horn, and the runner-up will be one of the best backup QBs in the conference.

It all depends on our O-line. Drink just settled on LT in the past few days :banghead:

If our O-line is serviceable, and Pribula beats out Horn, Hardy and Pribula will give this conference FITS on the ground. If the O-line is serviceable, I've got us at 9-3; 7-5 or even 6-6 if it's a sieve.

BTW, Mizzou's defense will be top 3-4 in the SEC--book it :dude:

Wut?

Haha....touche. Yes, I'm a big Mizzou fan, but I feel those opinions are pretty objective. A true homer would not come on an SEC board before the season started to say that we'll be damn lucky to beat USCe in CoMo and to point out that our O-line could possibly be a sieve, IMO. But good luck to the Bayou Bengals this fall.

This year should not be a problem beating South Carolina at home.

I think USCe will be the biggest surprise in the conference, and it really shouldn't be a surprise the way they finished last season. We'll have our hands full, and the game is in CoMo. Sellers could possibly be the best QB in the conference, Dylan Stewart will remind Cock fans of Clowney, and Nyck Harbor is just a freak of nature.

Mizzou is getting very little respect, but yes, we do have a relatively easy schedule. I'm not a homer, but we will have one of the top 2-3 defenses in the conference. Everyone points to Burden being gone (Kevin Coleman should be just as if not more productive) and that QB is a question mark (whoever comes out on top between Pribula and Horn will probably be an upgrade from Brady Cook). Minor question mark at punter, but the BIG question for Mizzou--and frankly what will determine whether we make the playoffs or not--is the O-line. And the biggest question mark there is left tackle OF ALL THINGS :banghead:
If our O-line is halfway decent, 9-3. We should have one of the top 2-3 defenses in the SEC

Missouri: Who are we?

Actually pretty accurate and not necessarily a slam. I've lived here all my life, and we probably have a more disparate, varied identity depending on which part of the state you are referring to, than any other state. We're not really north, south, east, or west as a whole. Extreme southeastern is definitely mid-South, KC is more western/plains, StL is somewhat similar to a Cincinnati, and north of CoMo is (unfortunately) similar to Iowa. IMHO, Columbia is the jewel and somewhat similar to Athens, GA (although definitely not Southern).
I hate tOSU, but I think they're gonna kick that arse
C or C-

aTm game exposed us, but hopefully 4th quarter drive v AU will kickstart us.
IMHO, it's all up to our O-line.

This will be a great game, drink is dork but he’s good at coaching football, his roster isn’t what atms is but it’s two coaches that know who they are and what they want to do. It’ll be a close game, looking forward to it

Nailed it

Good receivers don’t matter if the qb stinks

Really hate to agree with the Beaker, but Brady has a hard time completing a pass past 15 yards. If Cook and our O-line (pass pro) play like they did against Vandy, we’ll lose
