I'm thinking we should go coed, that seems to be in line with the direction that is being given.

Unbelievable, if that is the direction he is taking the program then why have tickets gone up 1 million percent since he has gotten here? For the amount of money they are asking for the result is that they aren't even really trying?

He has no problem taking your money. Doesn't seem all that interested in putting a quality product on the field

What it was like under Nutt is about to arrive...ie...newspaper ads, flying banners, lots more of booing at home games...and who knows what else

win-at-all-cost program

I certainly understand Arkansas fans' frustration, but I think I understand what Long is trying to say here. The way I interpret it is that Arkansas doesn't want to go the route of Baylor or Ole Miss--programs that got really good really fast by, we now know, cutting serious ethical corners. Those programs are now at or headed to dumpster-fire status, as their transgressions have caught up with them. Bielema may not be the long-term answer in Fayetteville, but at least no one has alleged that he is an Art Briles or Hugh Freeze.

The way it ended under Nutt really sucked, but you have to admit at least the first 5 to 7 years of him was really fun.

Wow he'd fit in perfect on the UGA athletic board.

They should pay their recruits more and that might change.

That's exactly what he's saying. Folks are seriously melting down over nothing.

I'm sure that is what he meant, this was just such a stupid time to say this though. Also does it even need to be stated, I think most assume that we aren't going to let the football team get away with rapes.

Long was too nice

Here's how I would put it

If Jeffrey dahmer was a five star defensive tackle Alabama would take him in and provide him with a few young Asian boys to keep him happy

After football goes away in the not so distant future Alabama will be a nothing school that provides nothing for nobody

We don't want to be like that

Auburn tried (sneakily) to hire Petrino, iirc. Just sayin'.

Also, it doesn't seem like Petrino was considered a pos when Arky hired him. The way he left Atl to go there was kind of the first sign. And Arky did can him after his big fu there.

The "we are losers but we lose with integrity" argument doesn't sell in the SEC and doesn't put butts in the stands, Jeff
