This is all speculation of course, we'll find out sooner or later what caused this.
If I had to make a bet I'd suggest the donors have been unhappy with how Long has spent their money, and he's gotten a lot from them, and his sticking by Bielema didn't help. Nobody that has dropped the kind of cash these folks have dropped would be thrilled about expanding the stadium with it being half empty now.

Wow...from AD of an SEC school and recent playoff committee chairman to the unemployment line. Talk about a short walk from the penthouse to the outhouse. This should erase any doubts about Bert’s future. I wouldn’t buy any green bananas if I were him.

I'm prepared to see how Rhoads does without Bielema looking over his shoulder. There are only two games left so he might as well get a chance to show if he can do better without Bielema lurking nearby.

I became a fan when I moved to Arkansas in 2011. I remember that day listening to sports talk when the Bobby shite happened.

Maybe Gus won’t work for Jeff Long. Jimmy Sexton gets his demands met and this is why he represents most SEC coaches and why our league pays coaches the most.

Pretty sure they're pissed off for a variety of reasons and shitty football is the straw that broke the camel's back.
The University has had to pay millions of dollars out to keep themselves out of court at least twice under Long's watch. Couple that with disassociating with the big boosters and (POSSIBLY) pinching money (???).
