Shamar Nash isn’t even in the top 5 receivers for Arkansas?

Yikes...

He’s opting out this year, wouldn’t be surprised if he transfers. We’ve recruited WR probably better than any position the last 2-3 years. But he couldn’t get on the field for the last staff or this staff. Not even sure he would have been in the top 8.

Does Arky expect to go 0-10 with that group?

Irrelevancy week 1... I wonder what the side bet is for the over/under 250 total yards.

Ricky Stromberg is the one to look out for on the offensive line

It is a huge asset to have a great center.

Are you expecting no sacks up the middle?

He started almost all year at RG last year as a true freshman so he’s never played center before, but if Pitt likes him there then it’s probably not a bad thing. The two guards we know very little about since they’ve hardly played.

One of the first things we did when Pittman got here was beef up the OL, some of the listed weights in the OP are outdated and they are much heavier now. Morris liked his OL to be around 285 for some reason.

He was a late bloomer back in high school. He was an unknown and didn't have any major offers. Then he started to blow up with offers late in the recruiting game. We were one of the first to offer. He was the biggest steal of the class. Oklahoma wanted him but were late on the offer.

Chad made him lose weight down to 264 but still made all freshmen team. I watched him push back defenders 30-40 pounds heavier. The reason why is he doesn't take plays off and he has quick feet.

He is back up to 311. So no I don't expect many sacks up the middle in his direction.

We have some decent experienced players. Unfortunately all they know how to do is not win SEC games. I think Franks experience is a huge plus. I like that we will certainly improve on offense and defense getting rid of Chad and Chavis. If anything, we should show more promise and pull off a win or two on a lucky day.

Please dont take this the wrong way.

But starting as a true freshman is not a good indicator of being good. UGA has had several players the past 2 decades start as true freshmen (trey hill started at RG as a true freshman. He was our center last season. Needless to say, he had his struggles in getting push and movement off the line). Many times, they are called up out of need and less out of ability.

Not giving up any sacks may be a great indicator of his ability in pass pro. But are you going to pass every down? There is a lot more to being a C than pass pro.

Y’all are starting an actual warthog at RT? Bold play, but I like the ambition. If we are now allowed to start our actual team animals, we have a good chance of defeating Bama if we can put an actual tiger at DE.

Stromberg is very good and may rank up there with some of the best centers we’ve had when all said and done. We’ve had some good ones...
