A big win for them. Would you say that was the beginning of Arky State's rise to the number 1 team in the state?

No marquee home games.

When aTm is the best that comes to The Hill....it's going to be a shitty attendance year.

Our capacity is 76k sorry

Nope. Official capacity is listed at 72k on your own athletic department website.

LINK and LINK

It's probably like how Kyle Field's official capacity is 82.5k even though we routinely fit 86-87k in.

To be honest Arkansas attendance isn't that bad for the 11am kickoff kings.

Yeah because Arkansas fans have a crystal ball and knew Auburn would win the SEC and South Carolina would finish top ten.

Both wee quality teams, I guess Arkansas fans couldn't see that.

who gives a shite? i don't even understand the argument- as if we've never seen good teams before or as if aub and sc are some new and unusual force that never has been to fville before.

Makes sense. I'm guessing this is why they play two games a year in LR

Yep. It's unrealistic to expect Hog fans' mule teams to roundtrip to the NW corner too often.

I think most Arkansas fans know that they are in trouble, they're just not willing to admit it yet.

You don't understand someone countering the argument that the reason for the decline in attendance was the lack of any quality opponents on the home schedule with direct evidence to the contrary?

So you're saying the Arkansas fan argument that the lack of attendance was due to lack of good opponents doesn't hold water?

I realize you're trolling but surely you're bright enough to figure out why our attendance was down.

This.

Last year was basically a debacle for the Arkansas program. It was a worst case scenario. That's a tough pill to swallow. Many people expected a rough year...few believed it would be that bad.

Normally a new hire gives attendance a boost. The only sell-out game Arky had was against Texas A&M, their biggest "brand name" opponent. Pathetic showing from the Arkansas faithful.

It's not like Kentucky and Tennessee have been stellar lately and they managed to boost their attendance a considerable amount

Aside from the fact that Berts wife is much hotter than Kim it really is a spot on comparison

i'm saying this to a&m fans who act like football just began- like we should be all thrilled and excited about sc and aub in fayetteville. woopity freaking do- they come every other year (sc i guess won't be anymore due to the additions). it's not some new and glorious event.

and my opinion is that we sucked, thus our attendance was down- not some shocking revelation i don't think.
