FSU fans rushed their field after beating our 7-5 team in 2010. Then they did it again last year after beating our 6-6 team.

It’s long been my opinion that the losing team should see it as the ultimate compliment if the field gets rushed; And is very telling of the winning team, their fan climate, and overall place in the pecking order. Yes, I realize my own team fan base is guilty of it, so that criticism applies there as well. You (typically) don’t have teams which are competing for the playoffs or BCS games in the past rushing the field during a regular season win. To do that says “we aren’t very good, haven’t won anything of significance in a while, and nobody gave us a shot, The opponent is far far better and everyone expects them to win”. Upsets happen, and I’d rather be part of a fan base of a team that gets upset occasionally, rather than one that plays the spoiler role. Maybe one day. Not holding my breath
