He speculated that Arch might have a shoulder injury they’re keeping on the DL. Regardless it’s not a good situation.
There were times he was rolling it like it was injured. Wasn't sure if it was before the game or during game but it did look bothered. Could have been cope too

How do you know that he will be fine? All the hype? I mean just because his last name is manning doesn’t mean he is elite. He has not proven to be elite.

fricking what?
Work out, better form, better release , leg placement. All contribute to arm strength. All fixable. Have you played a sport before?
which i am sure he has done to this point of his career and what you see now is probably as good as it will get. You can't fix not being born with a cannon.

And you do have to grade him on a curve here. There’s a QB camp with his last name on it.
He’s had the best coaching his entire life. To not be polished as a Junior suggests he just doesn’t have the gifts his relatives had.

The pure velocity isn’t a problem. It was just about everything else. His 4th quarter was actually pretty decent

Hes a Manning. He'll get the royal red carpet thrown at him for the best training and all that good shite.
I’m not buying this. Yall are acting like this is his first year at Texas. You think he didn’t have 3 years of the best training already? Not to mention growing up in the biggest QB family of all time.
His biggest asset is his last name. If he were worth a shite he would’ve started earlier and would’ve looked better. He’s had every opportunity a QB could ask for as far as training and guidance. This notion of now they’re going to start focusing on him after being in the program several years is bizarre.

Facepalm.
Arch has a gun. Just stop already. All y'all.
You will see it soon enough.

That was the knock on Peyton when he was scouted before the 1998 draft. His arm strength was weak and he had a "limited upside".
Not that Arch is another Peyton...but Bill Polian said that they actually believed they weak arm strength narrative until they went back and watched film more closely and saw that it was off base.

watched the same exact wrist “catch” from Arch get ruled incomplete when an Ohio State player made the play and Touchdown when Texas did it. What if the favoritism went the other way? What if they were just consistent? Could have been ugly.

He will be throwing against air and middling teams for the next three weeks and put up gaudy numbers.
Then they play Florida. If I was Sark, I would have QB2 ready to go and a short leash for Arch.

This is the thing I don't get . . . .did the ratings folks and media just buy into the narrative and go to sleep? 247 rated him as a perfect prospect and stated the following:
quote:
Displays excellent arm talent, showing the ability to make every throw on the field within the pocket. Shows the ability to drive the ball down the field and play with velocity. Excels as an intermediate passer, displaying the ability to consistently deliver the ball accurately and on time while playing with anticipation. Throws an exceptional deep ball, flashing outstanding touch and ball placement allowing him to throw his receivers open.
