Arch has brought a lot of money and attention to Texas. A lot of schools would rather have that money and attention than wins. Him being the 5th or 6th rated quarterback this century in composite rankings is no mistake.

Arch’s final three schools were Texas, Bama, and UGA. Those programs were fiercely competing for him. Those are all major programs.

There was no recruiting process…his last name is Manning. Texass payed for the name hoping he would pan out or maybe his nephew/son will pan out. I’ve yet to see a high school or college video/game where he impressed???????

I think Alabama has better WR's and a better o-line...do you disagree?

Mannings made sure he went to the school that he could make the most NIL money. They knew he wasn’t going to play in the NFL….so make your millions in college.

I agree Nuss looks like crap at least Arch can run and at least so far this season hasn’t been a lot worse than Nuss when passing. Of course both teams QB play has been extremely below par.

In a world where college football players are paid millions and a few people in your immediate family have a lot of experience with the business end of it, that makes sense.

WRs are better, although WIngo is as good as anybody out there and from what ive watched hes running around open alot. Our Oline has not been consistent and they are still rotating players around to try and find a combination that works, so while yes our line is better than the texas abomination, Ty processing things extremely quickly and getting the ball out on time is really helping them out. Manning is not doing that

I will give Lane credit. I don't think he was in love with Arch the way everyone else was. Now, he loved Jaden Rashada more which also didn't work out but... Also really liked Marcel Reed. Both were committed to Ole Miss at various points but signed elsewhere for NIL reasons.

Info on this? Sounds like a definite grift.

One thing thats hard to project is heart. Arch has the talent, but seems to be slow in processing the game at this level and lacks the intensity needed at his position.

What about the other five star quarterbacks from that class who all transferred already and the only one playing good at all is Dante Moore at Oregon other than him arch is playing better than the other three Malachi Nelson/Nico/Jackson Arnold. This is where you can tell the casuals who just read headlines and watch their own team versus the diehard college football fans who know the sport.

I could believe that those burgers were never frozen, just driven for weeks across the country in the back of a truck.

Arch is a simple case of the talking heads, experts, impacting the true potential, talent of this kid.The facts don't aline with that accuracy.Arch played for a 2aa school;had his last name not been Manning he wouldn't have been more than a second thoughts.

Some other poster said it very well: Arch is no longer just playing against 5'8" white kids !

You might have said that... but that was pretty much a "mantra" for all those who weren't sold on Arch Manning.

It sure was here in Oklahoma where we were fixing to get Jackson "fricking" Arnold... "JFA" for short. All kinds of rationale went into how "JFA" was "better than Arch" back then.
