Supposedly TCU players walked out of a meeting today.

Sounds like, per other players, Patterson told him (Jordan) to stop using the N word in team meetings.

That’s the only thing that makes sense. But even still, how dumb do you have to be to actually say the word? Just call it the “n word” and move on.

Telling players to stop saying n***** by actually saying, "Stop saying n*****!" is certainly a bold strategy.

ETA: He "accidentally" deleted it

Well, to be fair, if he actually did say it that way. He doesn't have to worry about any player ever saying it again because he will have no players left. I guess it was a great plan if you think about it that way.

Apparently this is the gist of it

ETA: Here's the tweet with the synopsis. Removed because I don't know if I'm allowed to post the tweet with the word in it?

Twitter

But you're right.. even if that IS what he was saying. Still shouldn't have said it. In those cases, it's best not to repeat things verbatim

Seriously, he was an idiot for saying it, but reading that post, everyone knew the context and what he meant.

He doesn't need to go there in the future, and at the same time there's no need to feign shock and ruin anyone's career over something so juvenile.

He should know better than to do this in today's society. It's wrong regardless but in this climate, dude is either dumb or he wants to get fired.

uh yeah, he should have said "n-word". It's not news that you can't use that word if you're not black under any circumstance.

Context helps a little, but it’s still a dumbass thing to do. He has no room to whine if he gets fired.

I guess it is a problem somehow, when I can drop, literally, dozens of words that will trigger the ever loving frick out of the "kindergarteners" and they can't drop one that will do more than make me smile or giggle. The triggered aren't smart enough to realize they alone have the ability to take the power away from those words. Kinda sad really.

If Whites can't use the N word, even to refer to it, then Blacks should be able to use the R word, as in redneck. Why do we allow that word to be thrown around with no consequences?

Because it’s used to describe dumbasses and not dehumanize an entire race.

Politicians never advocated for rednecks having to go to separate schools.

What a moron thing to even think.
