And the N word is used by many people to describe a subsection of Blacks. And many people DO apply redneck to any lower income Southerner who displays certain cultural traits they don't like.

So a guy that says the word gets mad at someone asking them to stop saying the word that is apparently offensive enough to walk out of practice for when someone else even brings the word up (although the entire point of said person bringing the word up is to tell you not to say it any more). That’s about as 2020 as it gets. No one even mentioning the kid that is apparently routinely dropping the same word all the time because it’s ok for him to use a racial slur.
