If you think about if from the perspective of how to stack rank the B12 in the poll, then TCU has to be the high-water mark. Every other B12 team has to be lower than TCU.
Giving TCU #2 instead of #10 allows more B12 teams to be in the top 25 conversation.
But what do I know, I support a 5-7 Ag team.

OP is just looking at some scenerio where Alabama can claim another title. Just some way they can convince anyone to say they were the best team this year.

Edit to add: if that gets in your craw, don't have a playoff. Eliminate the 12 team. Eliminate the 4 team.

TCU lost to an average KSU team in the Big 12 championship game and got blown out by Georgia.
Had TCU won the Big 12 and gave Georgia a respectable game then yes they would deserve being ranked second.

TCU beats Meat Chicken and then Rece Davis has Meat Chicken ranked 4 spots ahead of TCU. That is where the outrage should be.

How wrong can you be in one paragraph ? Ap vote doesn’t matter at all… it hasn’t for like 10 years … it has no bearing, the only vote that matters is the last vote from committee…. They don’t even have an end of season vote for final rankings….. why because it does not matter TCU finished ahead of Bama end of story .

TCU qb was also hurt in the title game as well and their starting running back…. KSU has beaten every sec team they have played in last 7 years minus Bama… Bama has a similiar style to KSU which is why it was a bad match up. KSU a was legit last year .
