This entire argument is silly, the game has been played, move along people, the players have already done so. If ole miss fans want to talk shite let them that was a big win at home and they earned it.
I’m just happy uga is done with that f@cked up conference schedule and is lucky enough to be in this position. We can finish out the season at 10- 2 resting all these injured starters, primarily to the Offensive line and maybe getting some skill players back in time for the play offs. The good news I would think for us is that last night uga replaced Ernest green who’s been basically playing with one arm with Freeling on the offensive line and did not rotate but kept the same players all game and they played phenomenally better. Maybe that’s that’s what we needed and we will improve moving forward..we shall see

By the way…who can spot the poster that’s a ga tech fan/grad masquerading as an ole miss fan? :)

SCar at 19 presents an interesting sort of conundrum, especially if they win big this week and then blow out Clemson to close out their season.

Basically the most they can jump is 6 spots even if they do everything right. If they blow out Clemson or win handily I'm not so sure they wouldn't be one of the best 12 teams in the country, but they have no chance to make the playoffs due to their early season.

I don't know how anyone can justify Penn St as a top 5 team and SMU not even in the top 10 when SMU has the same record and a better resume, having beaten 4 FBS teams with winning records (TCU, Louisville, Duke, Pitt) vs only 2 for Penn St (Wash, Illinois). Both have 1 loss to highly ranked 9-1 teams.

Notre Dame

Lost (got beat) by the 7th best team in the MAC AT HOME.

That is and should be equal to 2 losses.

The entire premise is absurd. All of the above suck

C FP is going to regret going this route when you get all SEC semifinals and finals. Oregon and OSU are relatively untested.

No matter what happens, in about 4 weeks we'll have minimum 2 fanbases (and people from other fanbases white knighting and Dick riding) in here whining and crying about getting bu-fued by the committee and how they deserve to be in over [insert team or teams they hate].

This won't change if they expand to 16. It won't change if they expand to 20. It won't change if they expand to 24...and so on.

Expanding the playoffs will only introduce new fanbases to the whining and crying. We're talking teams that would have never in a million seasons won a natty or even gotten into the old 4 team playoffs. Expanding the playoffs just increases the delusions of grandeur across CFB
fanbases.

So to sum it up, unless we stretch the CFB season deep into winter/spring so at least 60 teams can be in the playoffs, the whining and crying will continue. Wait...nope, not even that would cure it. The 61st team with only 1 regular season win over Eastern Adventist Boys of Denver (EABOD) would be quite certain they are getting screwed.

Yes, UGA lost to Ole Miss by 18 on the road.

OM lost to UK at home. They're the only SEC team to lose to UK this year and unless UK upsets Texas, they'll be the only team to lose to them. They're the only SEC team at the bottom of the playoff rankings to lose a home game.

OM's win over UGA is meaningful. So is their win over SC.

But so are their two losses to unranked teams, one being to a really bad UK team at home.

UGA has a road win over Texas (15 points) that is at least comparable if not better than OM's home win over UGA. UGA has a home win over Tennessee (14 points) and a neutral site win over Clemson (31 points) that together probably carry more weight than Ole Miss's road win over SC (24 points). And UGA's two losses were not to unranked teams. They were to highly ranked Ole Miss and highly ranked Bama.

There's a reason why some people have UGA ahead of Ole Miss in the rankings.

B1G needs to sort itself out....waaayyyy too many mediocre B1G teams in the top 5.

Notre Dame at 6? C'mon.

Bama at 7 with a loss to an unranked team? Nah.

BYU at 14? After losing to unranked Kansas?

1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. Ohio State
4. UGA
5. PSU
6. Ole Miss
7. SMU
8. Bama
9. OM
10. ND

Yes it’s a terrible loss but it’s the Only they game played that’s been even close. They’ve pretty much crushed everyone since then plus a double digit win over TAM. Their average margin of victory is like 30 points. If they win out they belong. They probably won’t go far but deserve a spot in top 12. And don’t tell me they would be the 10 best team in SEC. That’s BS

Yea, Penn St had one softass schedule. They probably lose 3 games with Texas's schedule.

hey, LSU was tied with UF at the half! doesn't that account for anything?

surely them Tigers will be back in stride next week at home. they aren't playing against a running QB are they?

I don’t discount what you’re saying. I think Ole Miss fans believe they are setting the stage to push us out. The Kentucky loss was embarrassing. I knew when the game ended we would pay a price for not being ready.

I think the last two weeks will have some surprises. I hope we don’t blow it but some teams will. Maybe us. Who knows?
