He's by far the best pro prospect in CFB right now.
Dude is 6'6, mobile and pocket presence as well.
He also has some of his best performances in the biggest games, and his lesser stat games vs nobody's in blowouts. Performing at his best in title games separates him from the rest of his Heisman competition to a degree.

I think Tua and Burrow are better than him.
I noticed last year against Bama and even more the first 2 games this year that he makes a lot of bad decisions and poor throws that his receivers bail him out of. He throws into double coverage constantly and his receivers somehow go up and catch it. Good for him I guess.
Tua is a different QB than Lawrence. He has a very quick release. He is a less durable Russell Wilson with better passing skills. Tua will go number one this year if he plays close to last year.
Lawrence checks all of the NFL boxes. Tall, sees the field well and can make every throw with ease.
Anybody who thinks Lawrence makes lots of bad decisions hasn't watched him much. DCs like Elko have talked about how difficult he is to fool. He understands coverages and knows he has mismatches all over the field with his WRs.
Burrow is coming into his own, but he doesn't have the ceiling of Tua or Lawrence in the NFL.

No. That 5-head Joe Dirt is pretty good at the football game.

Objectively, you could make the same case with some of the throws that Tua made last year. How many times had Tua been scrambling under pressure, and just flung the ball in the general direction of his receiver and Bama's freak athletes at WR bailed him out?

Lawrence makes NFL throws that others dont. Sure he has elite receivers but he gives them opportunities to make elite plays. The one thing that could stunt his growth, to a small extent, is the lack of competition he will see the rest of the season. The perceived 2nd best team in the ACC lost by 43 to Maryland. He wont play a full game again until the playoffs.

What should scare the shite out of anyone who might play Clemson.
He had a bad day, the RB was contained...
And Clemson still easily handled a good football team in A&M.

First true Freshman in over 30 years to win a national title in a 44-16 route of what many called the greatest college football team ever?
Are you serious?
Tua at least has a natty but TL beat him heads up and Burrow has a long way to measure up to either Tua or TL..
In stupid posts like this, it's a stat packing debate.
LSU is becoming like UGa...starting to get a taste of higher level success but you aren't quite ready to sit at the big boy table. Make it to the playoffs and we will talk.
Sounds like a salty Bama fan that is soiling himself a bit.

As a Bama fan you you hope not for what does that say about UA. LOL....And no I don't think either of those are better. And so far neither has been as effective. But things change.

Lawrence has got it all going his way, size, mobility, big arm, composure, weak ACC competition till playoff.
Guaranteed lock to be front row Heisman candidate next 2 years & 1st player taken 2021 NFL draft.

Sunshine is pretty much a prototypical QB as a true sophomore.
There is nothing overrated about Trevor Lawrence.
But, you know what they say about "Lawrence" don't you?
"I don't like the name 'Lawrence'. Only ****s and sailors are called ' Lawrence'. From now own your called 'Sunshine'."

He's a teenager who has played some outstanding games but he's still a teenager.
When it's your guy this is called chemistry.

Tua is better but Burrow? LMAO. Joey Football is solid but come on man...
When it comes to Lawrence I do agree he is overrated in general. A great talent for sure but not polished. Accuracy is shaky. Clemson WRs dominated Bama more than Lawrence actually did.

You are out of your mind. Tua might could edge him on total athletic ability.

Without reading the thread, I'm sure someone has already pointed it out. He puts the ball where he knows his receivers will make the catch. It's knowing the field, the coverage, and the receiver's ability.
You must not watch him a lot because the guy is the real deal. His back shoulder throws, his placement, his mechanics, his touch, his size, his situational awareness, his vision, etc. It's unreal for a true soph to have all that at this point.

Undefeated as a true Freshman and Sophomore. Hard to argue with those results.
Posted on 9/9/19 at 8:50 am to mistaken4193
Yes. Totally. So overrated other NFL teams should ignore him so the Saints can grab him
Posted on 9/9/19 at 8:58 am to mistaken4193
He’s still the best QB in college football by a long shot.
